Great Screenplay,Dude!I Like It...I Wonder If You Could Write Up A Final Fantasy One...I Know I Am...Oh,And Good Luck WIth The Rest Of Your Stories...
| Some1Else chapter 17 . 7/17/2006
This was an awesome collection of parodies.
My favorite segment was the one that dealt with Lunar: The Silver Star Story. I’ve never played that game, but I do remember hearing about it and once I finished reading that chapter I felt like playing it to see how accurate your take on it was. For some reason Nall seems very amusing and every scene with him was excellent despite the fact that he’s acting like an idiot most of the time even if that’s what he’s like in the actual game.
The Final Fantasy chapters were great. I can remember how awful Mystic Quest was, so that comment about the SNES trying to spit out the game was particularly amusing to me. Your take on Final Fantasy VII was perfect. Cloud Strife’s Hair and Tifa Lockhart’s Breasts. That never got old because it’s so true. I also liked how Sephiroth kept urging Cloud to chase him. The Final Fantasy VI chapter was hilarious mainly due to the appearance of the Improved Esper. I also liked how the characters junctioned magic into themselves.
Diablo II sounds eerily similar to World of Warcraft mainly due to how you portrayed the behavior of the people who play it. I haven’t tried either of those games, but I’ve heard similar conversations while interacting with people who have. I also enjoyed the Parasite Eve and Zelda 64 chapter. Overall, this story was brutally honest with the games it covered and that’s what made it so fun to read. Finally, I liked how you used a screenplay format to write this, especially when you pointed out some of the more annoying aspects of the games in capital letters.

Hoah, funny stuff. I'd pay you to do FFX and the Worst Sequel Known To Mankind when it comes out-that is, FFX-2.
| Aberlemno chapter 13 . 5/14/2003
I know I've reviewed this fic before, but I've just seen Parasite Eve II. After throwing it out the window and stamping on it for a million years, I read this. It was so incredibly true. I'm really pissed off at Square. . .Fine then, Square ENIX. . .Bloody Coke product placement, fobbing off everyone with crap sequels. . .(FFX-2, anyone? Oh yeah, Yuna in hotpants, what a superbly creative idea, you bunch of ripoff corporate bastards. . .) Anyway, I love this collection of parodies. It helps to be reminded of the fact all this time I spend on writing RPG fanfics, art, etc, is just helping to buy into a big capitalist. . . .evil thing. Well, I boycott Squaresoft! (That isn't hard though, as I don't like FF much anyway. Back on the Sacnoth for me. . .At least Sacnoth doesn't have a fucking deal with a soft drink company! And they're Japanese, which is better than American. Square is also Japanese but Coke is American. And corporate America is my very-least-favourite thing. But it's so damn hard to avoid. (Whaddaya mean, this is what a blog is for? Yeah, I'll shut up with the making-no-sense rambling))

I especially enjoyed the final fantasy ones. And i agree, you wrote Cloud perfectly. And if anyone thinks this fic is just a waste of time then they can go shove a stick up their ass! no one wants to hear you people (especially that weird person that said this was in the Buffy section) rant about stuff that doesnt make sense. sorry, this is really, REALLY funny. you should do FFX!
| Richie chapter 15 . 1/31/2003
Ha ha ha! That was priceless! I didn't realize the mispelling of Claude until I went back to the game and saw the mistakes. Another excellent script, and another good laugh. I swear it's one of the few positives lately coming into this site.
Some good moments:
CRAWD C. KENNI
I win! That was around... fifty points?
Why the hell did I just say that?
RANDOM CARTOON MAGE CHARACTER
Ah-ha! Ha-Ha-Ha! Soon the map will be
mine, and I will become the ruler of Neo-
Darling, you are so outmatched. I summon

attack! Yu-Gi-Oh Power!
| Aberlemno chapter 17 . 1/27/2003
I haven't played most of these games you've recently added but I loved the FF ones so I just read them anyway. I'm sure they'd be more hilariously relevant if I knew what the hell they even were. But they're damn brilliant without me having a cluew...*envies all the readers who've had to sit through weeks of rubbish gaming* O_o ...
| Yesbereth chapter 17 . 1/25/2003
Oh my freakin Gosh! Its too bad the games weren't made to be this hilarious. Even though I love some of the games (no matter how stupid and significantly cartoonish, as you put it, they are), I still got a kick out of reading them. Bring in some more games.
| AtheneMiranda chapter 7 . 1/23/2003
Ahh, I like these. I just read the FF ones...god work on the satire, not QUITE as good as the FF8 Bloopers one with ther Sorceress's Lapdancer in it...anyway, I like, especially the Square Fanatics and the Plot Twists and the other surreal stuff. I think you were a bit hard on Dagger - I love writing her because she's a TOTAL SCHIZ (as you'll know if you've played the game twice...there's two people in that cartoony head...) and it's such fun to be mean to her...
Thanks for existing...
| Loganberry chapter 17 . 1/23/2003
Heh. Can't say that I generally enjoy reading screenplays - rather hard on the eyes, you know - but I think I could make an exception here.
Actually, I've never played the vast majority of the games covered here... but then I don't really feel the need to now I've read this. Zelda, on the other hand, I have played a fair deal. And - well - yes. Indeed. Quite.
| Paul Sorvino chapter 16 . 1/19/2003
well i have to admit, i'm quite fond of several of these games (ff9, xenogears, lunar ect) but they were still quite funny...i did enjoy the skewering of games i'm not quite fond of especially...9/10
| Guest chapter 1 . 1/12/2003
What do you mean, "good luck"? I wrote that when I was nineteen; since that was almost four years ago, naturally, it has already been graded. And I got a very good grade, at that.
| Wizard Boy chapter 16 . 1/12/2003
I've read some of the reviews and the last person brought up an excellent point with that one line. People will either love what you've done, or hate what you've done. I personally love the scripts. :)
First, I have to commend you right off the bat how you were able to condense the games into short fics like this, heh. Movies are tough enough with 2 hours but games takes weeks to complete. You've managed to bring out the humorous points and got rid of most of the exposition and needless subpots. Frankly, I've learned more about the game's plot with your script than the actual game itself! I hope you'll continue writing more as you've clearly established some kind of fanbase here in the site. There are plenty of games out there that need "thorough" evaluation and not biased opinions we see consistently over the web. Keep writing and I'll keep reading. Thumbs up.
| PoliticalRapper chapter 16 . 1/11/2003
To hate this fic or to love this fic that is the question...
| Vaelasa chapter 1 . 1/5/2003
Sigh... the last couple of reviews only goes to show who the naysayers of your scripts really are, Bullions... brainless and completely dense. I mean if they were going to criticize your work, they could have at least checked to see that your parodies aren't even listed in the Buffy section, LOL!
In anycase, you have way, way, WAY more fans than naysayers (I think the troll is the same no life loser) so you shold keep writing.
