This was an interesting read

Seriously? This made no sense. Who the hell goes to a bar to listen to someone sit on stage and moan about their broken heart? Wtf? And having him sing Sarah songs? No freaking way. You ruined everything that made him Spike. The cheesy lameness factor was way over the top and not in a sweet, romantic way - just in a pathetic, omg why would anyone do something like that way...

Another chapter that earns a 'wow' from me. You mentioned how hard this was to write at times because of the emotional aspect behind it, but let me assure you that this did not come across in your writing. Everything flowed so well and seemed to come off the screen so amazing to find out that you had a few bumps in the road.

I remember you telling me that this epilogue would be told from a person other than Buffy/Spike. Well, I personally thought it would be their child doing the surprised to find out you chose Dawn to do it. But, it makes sense in a way. Dawn always was the mediator during Spike and Buffy's times of woe. So it only seems fitting that she would be the one to close with her view points on this chapter in all their lives. Very well done.

So much crying going around.I feel like shedding a few tears myself. But they are happy tears. Happy because everything did turn out perfect for them.

This was a really excellent story. I enjoyed your epilogue particularly - very clever use of the ambiguous perspective; I had to go back and read it again to work out that it could equally be Dawn or Buffy.

Your characterisations are strong and consistent and your use of language is (mirabile dictu as far as fanfic is concerned) mature and accurate.

I just have to tell you how wonderful this fic is. I am so glad that I got to read the whole thing at once (weird how you just finished it yesterday.) cause it is REALLY good. It is difficult to say goodbye to this story. The journey was wonderful and very rewarding.
