|Reviews for The Music of the Night|
| Mlanie762 chapter 2 . 1/16/2016
I didn't get the chance to see or read about the Ghost of the Opera, but this made me want to at least see the movie, so that I can better understand where this wonderful story came from. I really thought that Axel was a ghost, though, since Roxas searched every single inches of the rooms for openings! Like all your other stories, awesome work!

This story was fantastic. Numerous times I was brought to tears. Wonderful job, as per usual
| The Orgasmic Uke chapter 2 . 9/4/2013
I do love a happy ending. I was worried for a while of course. Poor poor Axel. But of course Roxas would love him no matter what. And the music I could practically imagine their singing. It was quite lovely. As always, a story well done

This story is so pretty. I lived it dearly. It's so nice. ; u ;
| kindofabadger chapter 1 . 3/19/2013
Oh my goodness, I just reread this and had to say again how much I love it. I heard 'Music of the Night' from Broadway's 'Phantom' the other day and I haven't been able to get this story out of mind since. It demanded a reread!
Beautiful stuff, and no smut! The sexuality, sensuality really, here is so subtle and so perfect for their story. I love it.
| breaking6883 chapter 2 . 2/18/2013
That was one of the most amazing, heartfelt, incredible stories I have ever read! There were little to no mistakes in grammar and spelling! Thank you very much for writing this awe-inspiring story! :]

I love the way you write your stories and how you are able to perfectly describe every detail of the characters feelings. I love it. It was beautiful, I cried.

Because now I feel compelled to comment on all of your stories. I've never actually seen the Phantom of the Opera (or done anything Kingdom Hearts related for that matter, I learned about the characters/circumstances through fics...), but I know the general gist of it. This just shows how being gay makes everything better, you know? And I loved how Axel was so... extreme with his emotions for a time, because it just made me feel like he was just so lonely and afraid (and in love, of course), and I loved how Roxas was afraid of Axel's anger more than of Axel himself, and how Axel understood, which just made Axel angrier, and it was just such a believable viscous cycle. I mean, sometimes conflict is created by one character being too embarrassed or shy to confess or whatever to the other person, which just makes a really weak plotline. Being too afraid of someone to tell him that you're afraid? That's so believable, and so strong of a feeling, I loved it. :D (Gonna go review other stuff now, because you review reply and that's wonderful!)
| Stormfall813 chapter 2 . 8/26/2012
...Awwww. That was beautiful. :'D For a while there I thought it was going to be all tragic and shit. Normally that's perfectly fine, but with these two I'm always rooting for a happy ending. And though I haven't read the book, I HAVE watched the movie (several times), so I had all this lovely imagery in my head on top of your detailed writing. Now I feel all warm and fuzzy inside. :D
| Nikokami chapter 1 . 8/24/2012
This has just bumped up to me favourite out of all your fics now!
| Tekko chapter 2 . 8/24/2012
First off, I have to say that I've always looooved the story of the Phantom. Your spin on it made me reel in fangirlish happiness. Honestly it makes me want to squee with joy. Finally, a happy ending for the misunderstood Phantom! Thank you for this 3333
| agentave chapter 2 . 8/21/2012
That was absolutely beautiful. One of the best things I have seen on here in a long time.

Your version of The Phantom of the Opera is my favorite one!
Admittedly this is coming from a lady living under a rock who has never read or seen any /other/ version, but still... AWESOME! XP
It wasn't exactly my kind of relationship, but I loved the story! You're very good with period pieces and it's so fun reading all the "proper speech"!
I really enjoyed the part where Axel was the mysterious Angel of Music singing with him from the shadows, the way that you wrote it gave me chills! Also I loved how there was more drama behind the curtains than on-stage with Marly and the diva, how the gossiping audience offered subtitles for the Spanish insults. And I was laughing when the clueless managers tried to replace their star with any random performer, because all singers are the same! XD Speaking of the managers, I had to grin at what Axel used to blackmail them
There was a ton of emotion from the characters, you could really understand it all and the desperation especially was written so well that it was practically tangible, but - I guess it was all a bit too soon for my tastes. ;p *Philistine* Just my opinion, but Rox seemed a bit too willing to give up everything for this very strange Axel he knew little about. *needs to knock brain back out of reality* And the phantom was in such a fragile mental state too, but I'm guessing you wanted to keep the characters close to the original story? I /think/ I recall hearing that it was supposed to be something along those lines... I'd honestly expect him to be like that after years of living alone in the dark anyways.
I can't help but sympathize with what happened to him growing up. He's so insecure and quick to break his own heart through misunderstandings, you can really feel how hard it is for the poor guy to let his hopes raise and accept that something good might actually be is... Still, I felt worse for Roxas throughout it all! lol
Either way - the end shows hope that Axel will get better and their future looks bright, so I'm glad about that! Gotta love the happy ending! *heart*
