I really liked your voice of the Captain, I found just like the show... I still don't know if he's trustworthy or not but you make me want to trust him! :) Thanks so much for sharing.

So far I absolutely love your take on Renard. It is the truest to his in show character that I've seen so far. Renard is a really complex character and not entirely a good guy even when he's on the same side as Nick. On the other hand, I can see them coming to some sort of terms with each other and learning to get along.

Very nicely done. Interesting, thoughtful, in character...on that front, I particularly liked how you portrayed Renard. It makes sense with the story, and while I like the idea that Renard has come to trust Nick more or less in the show, I really like this too. :) Faving.

This fic was such a joy to find. I've been looking for a non-slash fic where Renard was revealed to Nick and taking it from there. The actual show has been so disappointing in this respect. I love how you used Monroe as well. Looking forward to more. Cheers.

Oooh...Finally! How I have longed for a fic regarding Nick/Renard politics. It's all bloody slash! Major props for the fake key - a forgery always seemed to me like the best way to handle that. I'm secretly hoping he did something like that with the coins too; I mean, I totally don't buy how quickly and completely he trusted his mother despite her long absence and timely reappearance, but somehow I don't think that'll happen.

Only thing I would have done differently than you was have Nick wise to the REASON Renard had his Aunt killed: specifically to deprive him of the last of his family, to leave him alone and ignorant and vulnerable to manipulation. There is no way Renard should have been able to talk his way around that. That said, I think your version is more believable, canonically...Nick is really just an amateur at politics. Sigh. I just want him to kick ass, all the time, but this does not make for the best storycraft. So it's a good thing you're the writer.

On that note, any chance of a sequel? Thanks for writing. :)

I loved that Sean genuinely did not understand why Nick would not let go of the "past." Lol. He's seriously not right. Lol. *sigh* I love Sasha.

Omg! You write for all the shows I watch! I read one of your Smash stories a few months ago and I loved it.

Anyway, I loved how this was written from Sean's POV but it was written in third person. Looking forward to reading the next chapter.
