| EagleJarl chapter 12 . 3/22/2014
And the plot thickens! Holmes is finally engaged and there is clearly something to be investigated. I wonder who will be behind this? It doesn't feel like Daleks; they tend to be more "shoot you in the face" rather than "capture you with an energy dome". Could be Cybermen, although again, domes aren't really their thing, they're all about physically knocking you out with their builtin stunguns.
By the way, "Time Lord" should be capitalized throughout.
| EagleJarl chapter 11 . 3/22/2014
Gotta admit, it's a lot of fun to see Holmes so totally flustered. I keep waiting for him to try a Sherlock Scan on the Doctor but most likely he simply can't.
| EagleJarl chapter 8 . 3/22/2014
For Sherlock Holmes's smarter brother, Mycroft is remarkably dense if he thought that warning was going to do anything other than confirm the Doctor's existence and put Holmes on his trail. Well, perhaps that was the point.
Poor Holmes, getting that text. I've been in that boat; it's like being kicked in the belly, hard. Hopefully Amy really will get the Doctor to bring him along on an adventure. It would be a pity if the rest of the story were just Amy periodically showing up to tell him about her adventures
| EagleJarl chapter 7 . 3/22/2014
Granted, Doofus didn't give her his address or phone number. Twit. Christ, a girl as sexy and smart and interesting as Amy Pond throws herself at you, suggests that it could happen again...and you just watch her leave? Moron.
You could have ended it here and it would worked...a bittersweet ending, but it would have worked. I'm glad you decided to continue, and that you'll be bringing the Doctor in soon. I'll be fascinated what Sherlock makes of the Doctor. That should be a truly epic Sherlock moment.
| EagleJarl chapter 6 . 3/22/2014
Yeah, that was...ahem. Yeah. Let me put it this way: I'm reading this in a crowded cafe, and I'm not going to get up and leave for a while.
I suspect that, with his perception and analysis abilities, Holmes would be an utterly amazing lover. And Amy...beautiful, feisty, aggressive Amy...yowza. The two of them would definitely be explosive, just as you show here.
Of course, Holmes is still a bastard. Really, dude? You have to jump up and leave the moment you get off? Jackass.
| EagleJarl chapter 5 . 3/22/2014
Oh yeah, Pond gittin' her freak on, and Holmes gittin' his freak out in!
Sherlock Holmes. Probably the most brilliant man of his era. Able to notice every detail, borderline sociopath because people bore him so, able to defend himself in a fight...and utterly undone, totally panicked, by a beautiful girl coming on to him.
And yes, Shamy (I like that better than Pondlock) is a great idea. A little hard on Rory, but oh well. He'll survive, and he'll end up with Amy no matter what.
| EagleJarl chapter 2 . 3/22/2014
Yayy, Shamy! And yes, Amy is SO the type of girl to stay with a strange man that she just met.
I liked the description of Holmes at the "I'm not good at flirting" line - easy on the surface and jagged pain beneath. That is exactly what I suspect it is like to be Sherlock Holmes. Also, the "companion" reference was great.
