This is honestly one of my favorite MinaKushi fanfics. Thanks for this amazing story.
chichee chapter 1 . 4/17/2018
I've probably read this and vainglory a hundred times, every single time- absolutely gorgeous. Their dialogue is so well crafted and Kushina is in character without coming off as annoying. I absolutely love minakushi and you've inspired me to try my own hand at writing them soon, this is an absolute gem and thank you for taking the time to write this.
fatejumper chapter 58 . 3/30/2018
this was such a beautiful story! I can't imagine the impact when all the updates came out in real time. Probably more emotional. I really enjoyed your writing and with some scenes being slightly vague I love how it's up to the reader to interpret what sort of happened in between the lines! This story deserves so much love~ I hope to read more of your work in the future!
tysedon chapter 58 . 1/19/2018

Hiniwalay chapter 58 . 12/23/2017
Okay, it’s 2am, I loved that, please update more MinaKushi fics pleaaaase *coughVainglorycough*
I’m still wondering what Minato meant by “personal mission”. Both the current (is it getting Minato to be at home more?) and last (Naruto’s conception? Seems appropriate lol) one.
Only bachelor(ettes) should be hokage, perhaps... Though, I’ve always imagined that, as hokages, Minato would be better at setting time for his personal life than Naruto. Maybe it’s because of the scenes we see of Minato and Kushina hanging at home. Plus, Minato’s all about speed and efficiency. Naruto doesn’t exactly have the sharpest mind for paperwork. And while Minato was basically getting the village back on its feet after a war, a fairly familiar territory with past examples to work from, Naruto was swamped with loads of new developments, from international relations to technology booms.
Hiniwalay chapter 32 . 12/23/2017
I’m rereading because there’s suddenly an update after many months, I’ve forgotten exactly what happened, and I know I loved this story when I read it the first time around.
Minato with crushed masculine confidence is so cute XDD
There are characters who regularly show a lot of emotion who, when they react in outlandish ways, get a reader to laugh. Then there are the rational, cool characters who, with one shake of their usually unflappable exteriors, reduce me to guffaws.
TheOrichalconThief chapter 58 . 12/22/2017
What a pleasant surprise! I did not expect an update here at all, and it was wonderful to read. Congratulations by the way! You are doing greatly!
Merceni chapter 58 . 12/22/2017

4everWinter chapter 24 . 8/16/2017
Re-reading this for the 3rd time, because why not. The first time I read this, I don't think I bothered leaving a comment - I was so enraptured to pause, I even finished reading in one day.

This still has got to be the best MinaKush fanfic I've ever read! There's one other fanfic that rivals this, awesomely great too, but the writer skipped my favorite scene, the one where Minato saved Kushina from her kidnappers.

Anyway, just want to say that you're such an amazing writer, if I haven't commented yet before. Your writing style is easy on the eyes, smooth-flowing and very fun. I appreciate how you've done justice to Minato and Kushina's characters. Your characterization made me love them even more.
marguitar chapter 57 . 7/19/2017
This was breathtaking. This was real. This was Kushina and Minato come to life. Your Kushina is the true Kushina, treated with the understanding and given the depth she was more than due. I am kind of at a loss for words. Naruto the series doesn't treat women right, it consistently reduces them and strips them of the web of emotion and complicated tangle of duty and dreams and death that shinobi (and all of us! but them especially) deal with. It's misogynistic in all the little ways too, you know? The way porn is just a punchline, for example. There's nothing funny about porn, or brothels, women selling their bodies to get by. I'm glad you talked about choice, briefly, in regards to Kushina being made into a jinchuuriki. And, when she decides to love Minato. When is a choice meaningfully free? Can a girl, chosen for her heritage, with no home left, coerced to go to a new place to become a sacrifice, have any choice but to form bonds to that place?
In any case - sorry for digressing - I love that you wrote a Kushina who knew herself and her choices, was powerful and knew that too, and lived with bravery and self-respect. Though she saw herself as a monster, and struggled with Minato knowing that truth, it does not change the fact that she, as you write, "was a shinobi through and through", whose life and record of service show above all else that she is just, courageous, and compassionate. I would say that makes her pretty human. And not just the binary dutiful wife/self-sacrificial mother Kishimoto portrayed her as, but as a lynchpin who could not have been so if she wasn't the PERSON she was. (I get she is a side character, but seriously, it's pathetic how every woman in Naruto the series is always shoved aside to make screen time for men.) You wrote Kushina and Minato together without sacrificing their individuality, their unique selves. I think this is, in writing as in life, very beautiful.
I'm looking 4 U chapter 57 . 5/2/2017
The best ending for never ending story
It seems kushina failed this mission but not that she regretted it I'm sure! Thanks a lot for this amazing story! Once again, I believe your way of presenting story & plot itself are the best out there! Prodigy level! You are my faaavvvvorite author all the way! Best wishes
