Great chapter. Though the time jump backwards was a bit confusing.

It's that Umbridge? It has to be Dolores, right? Omg, I didn't for a moment imagine that Annie and Henry would know about magic! They must have needed a pretty powerful oblibiator, but I guess it makes things so much easier goimg forward, they just need to re learn what they already knew. What is Umbridge doing there? So many questions!

Oh, please continue with this story! It's so well-written and thought out, I'm completely hooked! You're an excellent story-teller and I suspect a genius? Thank you for sharing this.

This is a really interesting story! I hope you update soon, I've been keeping more or less up to date with Strangers at Drakeshaugh and I love reading about the Charltons and the Potters and Weasleys relationships together!

It’s so interesting seeing the story, and worry, from Harry and Ginny’s perspectives since James and Annie and the gang are so caught up in the moment. What Lilly said about Harry was sad and ironic given what we learn. As to the poll, I voted for James and Me because I’m used to it and it fits, but I get why you want to change it.

I've just seen the poll about the title - I like both options but prefer 'James and Me' because of the passage on Chapter 12 when Annie's talking to Corinne (I tried to quote the passage, but can't copy and paste it for some reason!) At the end of the day I don't think it matters what you call the story, I'm really enjoying it regardless! :)

I found this story after only the first three or so chapters had been posted - and after enjoying "Strangers at Drakeshaugh" and your detailed and convincing post-war word - but somehow I missed the fact that you'd been updating it since then. So glad to find this many additional chapters, and, looking forward to more.

I really like the way the "children's" personalities are recognizable even this many years later. The budding relationship between Annie and James is very sweet. Annie's uni friends are an interesting collection, too. And it's particularly fun to watch James skirting the Statute of Secrecy - of course one hopes that he eventually can let her (and Henry, and Jacqui and Mike) into all the secrets. Now with this last chapter, I'm very curious to know what actually happened up on the Stone - and this new detail about Patterson and a bid for the Ministry sounds ominous indeed.

It is getting so hard waiting for the next chapter, but it might be worse once you complete the story. It really is that good. I know Annie is mentioned in other stories, but I hope you write a sequel to James and Me.

After I have made my children read Harry Potter I am going to make them read your stories. What a beautiful faithful adaptation! Now even though I do not know canon James Sirius Potter since we haven't been given much reference to him in the epilogue ( I do not see Cursed Child as canon, it deviates too much from the original story and hardly contains much about James anyway) my mind has made him up to be the James that you have potrayed.
Just a question, do you have any image in your mind of James and Annie? Like any particular photograph of anyone you think that resmebles them.

I feel we are in some critical junction. Really exciting! Being non-English I have just now discovered “One for sorrow …” and it is wonderfully creepy, thank you! Ok so I guess Jacqui's kids aren't going to revealed to be Muggleborns. I didn't realize this story existed when I was reading "Strangers at..." This rather kills my enjoyment of "Strangers at..." I admit. I guess the story was never really coming to any kind of head. :( I just thought it was going to have a very different pay off (or any pay off). But you wanted to write a slice of life, and there's nothing wrong with that, but its definitely not what I was wanting. So I guess I'm dropping out of both.

Good luck to you. You're a very good writer, its just not what I'm into.
