| yay chapter 1 . 10/23/2012
"A mad notion was forming in Alek's mind, but it was nothing he could share with the Count." And the mad notion is? Other than that one line, this is great.

I like this! :) It really seems to fit; well done! :)
| Barking Lizards chapter 1 . 8/30/2012
I like this, it actually seems like something they would say to each other.
There are a few mistakes though, some grammar and spelling...but not that much :)

I felt that this was just the scene that was missing form the books. some resolution/confrontation between Volger and Alek about his decision.
I love their relationship in the books and I think this definitely does them justice. I think their dialogue is spot on.
""This is your birthright, Alek." Vogler said through clenched teeth.
"No more than theirs." Alek snapped." ... I never really thought about this, but its quite true.
I loved that you went into Volgers reasons: "Not in his father's wishes, his bloodline, nor the will of Heaven, but in Alek himself."
"For the first time it felt different, lighter, as if it contained paper and not a destiny."
I really hope you'll write more stories for Leviathan. Thank you for sharing this!
