Dr. Ashtray chapter 1 . 8/31/2012
That ending shocked me as much as the one in Fight Club or Shutter Island. So, pretty damn much. The moment I clicked open this story I knew it wouldn't be anything less than great, and of course it was better than I thought. While you have the amazing grip in angst, I was surprised that this work didn't have any humor though, dark or otherwise. But it made sense, and I loved it.

This story also made me look at Kurt and Blaine's relationship in a different way. While it was Kurt's fantasy, before I knew that it might as well have been Kurt's thoughts all throughout his interactions with Blaine. And based off of this, you could say that Kurt and Blaine's relationship was created by a mutual need for love, and not actual love. But that's a cynical thought, and not the point.

The quote on the end was great too, and the definition of fantasy was perfect. We create stories because we need it. Maybe that's why I love reading.

Anyways, that was awesome!

okay...again, what is it with Blaine and death?! Although I do have to admit, you write it insanely well and I wouldn't have it any other way. I have to admit, the whole after Blaine's death bit was extremely confusing. Was the therapist trying to manipulate him into thinking he was something he wasn't and that being gay was a personality disorder? I'm really rather confused but as long as you understand it...such a beautiful story once again. By the way, is there a reason why the two characters tagged are Burt and Kurt rather than Blaine and Kurt?
