Potter Abducted by Penguins chapter 3 . 9/22/2012 Are we going to learn why Steve Smith was so antagonistic towards Genna? Will she recover? |
Angela M chapter 2 . 9/20/2012 Nice to see Steve get his. Hopefully St. Leandre's has developed the no tolerance anti-bullying policies that it's muggle school counterparts have adopted and Steve will get suspended, or worse. It was nice to see that you continued to build the world by talking about it's post-secondary education. It's good to see that Canadian wizards have the opportunity to go to University because it seems that there are no Wizarding Universities in England. I'm guessing that St. Leandre's, unlike Hogwarts must teach their students Math and English, and French. :D You dashed my hopes of a Mathiew/Audrey pairing! Well at least I'll get to read some romance between Genna and Marcus. Can't wait to read more. |
Angela M chapter 1 . 9/20/2012 Normally, I don't go for Original Character stories, but seeing as this was recommended by Arpad Hrunta, I figured why not. I liked how you set up the universe, with it's similarity to Hogwarts but added subtle changes to make it unique. I'm intrigued with the characters and look forward to seeing what happens with them. Nice touch having the the magical Two Solitudes caused by a nefarious Vampire. Oh and I loved the little bits of Canadian history thrown in, it helped to make the world seem just a little bit more real. |
Arpad Hrunta chapter 2 . 9/8/2012 Good chapter, of course. One of the things I like about this is how you skipped from the sorting to sixth year, where the action starts to build. It's a nice touch. Steve Smith is quite the piece of work! |
Arpad Hrunta chapter 1 . 9/2/2012 It's good to see this story posted - it had been so long since I betaed it that I'd forgotten a lot of the details of the beginning. As I've said before, I love the world building, and having the equivalent of Diagon Alley be a spur of Montreal's Underground City is just inspired. |
