| Aileil chapter 20 . 10/22/2019
Hey, thank you for writing this. It's a romp and a half! I mean, you've got a solid globe-trotting ancient history mystery, a little bit of fantasy, a dash of spy fiction, a splash of a comedy of errors, and a couple of guest appearences. What else could a person ask for, eh?
I really liked how well you matched the tone and style of the series. You put in the meta jokes, the classic sixties screwball tropes, and you write the characters brilliantly. You clearly put a lot of work and thought into this and I am extremely grateful for the chance to enjoy the result.
| Mudstalker chapter 20 . 8/6/2017
I really liked this! You put together a great adventure story filled with friendship, antics from the TV series, and creepy temples to boot. Most excellent!
| TimeSpace64 chapter 20 . 8/1/2015
That story was amazing! I'm new to the site and this is the first of your stories I've read... I think, but it's obvious I have some backtracking to do! I'm a huge Monkees, Doctor Who, & Hogan's Heroes fan, so you have me fangirling in every chapter! I thank you for writing this.

This was an excellent story! I felt like I was watching an episode :)
| Omorka chapter 20 . 8/18/2013
This was delightful! And I think I'm starting to get caught up now - I still need to read "Somewhere Back In Time," now that it's finished. I'm looking forward to it!
| EveningInHornersCorners chapter 20 . 3/29/2013
WOW! What an ending!
-WAY TO GO PETER!
-"'Because, Baby, in the final analysis, love is power,'" he quoted. "'That's where the power's at!'" Like the end of "A Wrinkle In Time"...
-Slowly, the quartet moved to shuffle off, casually whistling "Last Train to Clarkesville,"... How Monkeelike...
-Yeah, Cyn, do you REALLY expect him to come back?
-"That's right!" Micky quipped. "He's not your steppin' stone!" Leave it to Mick...
-"I think a healthy dose of cynicism is in order here," Ah! Fabulous line!
-I should have known that someday Davy would reciprocate...
| EveningInHornersCorners chapter 19 . 3/29/2013
Good chapter. Nice and...creepy.
-"Well, no matter what, I'm turning to gold anyway…" Groovy, right?
-"Ooh, access de-nied!" Mike said, smirking. You DO maintain your sense of humor, don't you?
-"Silence, Boor!" Rico snarled. What a line!
-Yes Mike, what's there to panic about? We only have five creepy spiders after us, you've been completely turned to gold, and Rico is adding to the chaos...
-Davy nodded, casting one more glance back at Mike as he headed for the pedestal, placing the medallion on the spot indented there. But Rico pulled him away from it before he could use the crook and flail to smash it. Oh for the love of...
-"It's the same voice I heard coming from the medallion!" Davy gasped. "The one that was whispering to me and making me all horrible and greedy…!" WHAT?!
-"Let me introduce myself to you, Jones. I am the Forbidden One." Um... that sounds...forbidding.
| EveningInHornersCorners chapter 18 . 3/29/2013
WOW! Like, Terror City...
-Mike, don't you see that your stoicism is making it even harder for them?
-"...And I need you to promise me that you'll keep fighting it after I… can't help you out anymore..." Wow Mike. To be able to just completely resign yourself to your fate... that's... admirable.
-So EVERYTHING'S turning to gold? Man, that's, uh, not good...
-ANOTHER passage. Goodness Davy, how did you commit all this to memory?
-"Will you stop arguing?!" Cyndia shrieked. "Davy, please! You're worth more than him! I'm worth more than him! You can lead us out of here—please do it!" For reals? Some people...
-Oh no. Not another one of those things...
-"Of course he might have!" Micky fumed, looking back as the spider gave chase. "Because that idiot would have to make things even more difficult for us!" Really, Micky, what do you expect?
| AzaleaSun-glow chapter 1 . 3/17/2013
Lovely story! Keep it up
| EveningInHornersCorners chapter 17 . 3/9/2013
-"There's no way I'm letting you go to Peru—" He was cut off as the plane started moving; in no time at all, it picked up speed and took off. What a PERFECT Monkees moment!
-Smooth Mick. REAL smooth.
-"The boss told me that if Jones doesn't come back here to pick you up in five hours, I'm allowed to throw you to the anacondas." DRAT THAT FLUNKY!
-"Micky, who had gotten his hands on a flashlight from seemingly nowhere..." Typical, typical...
-"Let's just find Davy and get him outta here," Mike, I think you should know by now that a Monkees can never "just" do something. It's like, virtually impossible.
-"I'll bet that's it," Cyndia said. "That must be why he chased me off every time I tried to make up with Davy; he didn't want me distracting Davy from the music that was his key to success." Considering that none of his other "girl du jours" distracted him THAT much, I have my doubts about you doing as much, Cyn...
-"Well, isn't that dumb?" Micky muttered, a little too loudly. Will you ever learn, Micky?
-Oh boy. From lowdown crook to Midas. This is NOT going to be pretty...
-And a SPIDER? This just gets weireder and weirder...
-Okay... Man things are just careening out of control...
| Monkeefan1986 chapter 20 . 3/5/2013
What an incredible end to an amazing story! Bravo! If this is any indication, I cannot wait for the "Red Sky" sequel and the next installment of "Lone Star and Union Jack."
| evilwizardglick chapter 20 . 3/4/2013
Great ending! I can't wait until your next one!
| Victoria3 chapter 20 . 3/4/2013

| MonkeeMidgie chapter 20 . 3/3/2013
He REGENERATED?! So, he actually DIED?! But, he regenerated and still stayed Mike! I can't wait to read the headcanon on that one. And what is River's connection to him? I MUST KNOW!
That was so incredible, and I was worried right up to the end how you were going to get everyone through it. That was brilliant of Peter to realize how to get through to Davy, and I love the nod back to "The Devil and Peter Tork". I can't wait to read what you come up with next. :)
