| frozen-delight chapter 7 . 5/16/2013
I really like this, it's tense and heartbreaking and very well-written. So I hope that you'll update someday very soon.
While I'm having great difficulties at understanding John's motivations for leaving (I rather side with Lestrade on that question - great portrayal of him, by the way), I do think it creates an extremely interesting scenario: Sherlock, wanting to regain John's friendship, has to respect his choices and let him go, knowing at the same time that this threatens his friend's safety. Poor Sherlock's really caught between the devil and the deep blue sea - no matter whether he decides to leave John alone or to go to him, he risks losing him forever.
| Guest chapter 7 . 4/5/2013
This is wonderful. I know how he feels, in a way.
| Florita of Wholocklin chapter 7 . 3/31/2013
I feel so bad for both Sherlock and John. The fall truely ripped their friendship apart. I am so excited about series 3 filming ! Thank goodness this fic will help sustain me for the long wait for the premiere. Thank you!
| Florita of Wholocklin chapter 4 . 3/31/2013

| Esther Kirkland chapter 7 . 3/26/2013
Every time I see a notification for this story in my inbox, my heart does this funny thing where it first jumps in excitement and then sinks a little because I know it's going to be absolutely Mofftisish. Which is good, but...Well, you know.
This was one of the best chapters so far. I love the bit about not wanting to look in the mirror, and how his patients treat him as much as he treats them. And the silence...I can understand the silence. If you have a roommate, or if you share with a sibling, or if you're married or live next to a dog kennel or whatever, and suddenly your roomie is gone for the weekend, or the dog kennel closes down - it's amazing how much the *lack* of sound can roar in your ears. Your description of his panic was utterly perfect, and the comparison between John and Sherlock really played well. I also think it's interesting that, where *my* mind goes is that John is still used to hearing Sherlock up and about at all hours, and now that that isn't there anymore, it's weird. But you never actually had to say that.
Brilliant chapter - when can we expect more? Not that I'm greedy or anything...
