I really like some of the ideas you've worked out as well. The Archive under the Headmaster's tower is brill (May have to steal that, lol) abd I really admired your detail in the Apparition sites, er, sorry, stations. Another Brill idea. As always, seeing this same scene from his perspective is wonderful. YOu really show a remorseful, needy and haunted man, hoping to do a good deed, and then worrying that he f-ked it up. Poor guy. Great writing.

oh how lovely! Showing Severus' POV gives another rich depth and layer to PTL and I think it complements it nicely. In fact, I'd like to go back and reread ch. 19 of PTL along with this missing scene into it.
Your details on the archives and the Apparition stations were a lot of fun. They are the type of details that make your story so much the richer.

I always thought it was very nice of him to find her one-shot.

Wonderful! Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! I adore your writing. And I love how you often write one-shots based in the world of your own stories. Magnificent. I love this!

Thanks for posting this-I LOVED PTL, and it is awesome to see scenes from Severus's perspective.

...are there still people out there who haven't read PTL?
Perfect as usual - I liked the fact that poor Severus had apparently bitten off a bit more than he could chew, felt sorry for himself did it anyway. Yay Severus!
Thank you ver much.

Thanks so much for another AMAZING extract! :) I thought it was great to experience that bit when he tells the Slytherins that they can trust Hermione as they do him - I though that was such a meaningful bit even when I first read Post Tenebras, Lux and am SO glad you decided to include it! Thank you!
I just have to include a little bit of critisism, unfortunately (after much encouragement from an equally avid-reader friend, whom I sort of ranted to...): The State Library of Victoria. You made it out to be in the suburbs of Victoria - it is actually located in the heart of the Melbourne CBD (Central Business District) - Melbourne is a city of over 4 million people and I can assure you that THAT library is NOT in the suburbs! It is actually right across the road from Melbourne Central station, on Swanston Street ("one of the main streets of central Melbourne" - Wikipedia)... As Melbourne also has 8/9 universities, it is a VERY popular haunt for students so there will be a few more than just 3 attendants (it has almost 300 employees, in fact)... Furthermore, if you look on Google images, you will see that it doesn't actually have a sign out front declaring it to be the 'State Library of Victoria' - it just has 'VICTORIA' engraved in large letters on the front of the building...
Anyway... thanks again for an awesome story - PLEASE write more soon! :)

Absolutely loved it and I may well have to go back and revisit PTL now! Loved all the little insights into Severus' search, and the work he put into it (and laughed out loud at the library scene.. The accent does it for me every time too) even though he was sooo unsure of himself.
You do write our hero so marvellously and for that I completely love you and all your stories xx can't wait for the next one shot, keeping me going nicely til you start your next epic :)
Much love xxx

That does explain a few things It's always nice to see a missing scene :)

I pressed send again when I was trying to delete something! Never reviewing on my phone again. Anyway, it doesn't do your stories credit to leave her flawless. Make her doubt Severus once, leading to angst and regret. Or write one where she can't seem to choose between Ron and Severus because she can't figure out where her loyalties lie. Just anything to give her a little more depth. All that being said, I will still squeal like a fan girl when I get an email that you've posted another story, because even with your flaws, you're still the best out there, by far.

I accidentally sent my other review before I meant to (stupid phone). What I was going to add was a little bit of criticism. It doesn't apply specifically to this story, but all of your SSHG's. Like I said with Severus, everyone has good and bad in them, and Hermione certainly had flaws in the books. I don't read your stories for your portrayal of Hermione, I read them for your Severus. If I was interested in Hermione more, I'd be disappointed with your stories. She never seems to have flaws! In the books, she had a lot of trouble making friends, she was a logical thinker rather than creative (though that's not a flaw), and she had that problem with sorting out her priorities. I'm not saying you should give her THESE flaws, because I'm a firm believer in both artistic interpretation and the fact that Hermione (and most everyone) would have changed after the war, but it doesn't do your storieleaveher flawless.

I liked this short episode a lot! The idea with the archives is brilliant, and it was really sweet of Severus to search for Hermione's parents. I remember it from your original story and it nice to see it from Severus's view. And for sure his voice melts every woman :).
I cross my fingers that maybe some time in the future I can win one of these 1000th review contests :) :) :).

It was nice to revisit that world, even if just for a little while. Still one of my top five favorites!
Thanks for posting-
