Ooooh, I am so glad to have found this... I need to go back and read the first two, but I was seriously craving "Eleven finds Jenny" goodness right now.

I love your Genre Savy!Rory. That's what he was like in his first few episodes as a companion, but he lost a lot of that on the show. I like how you're bringing that (and Jenny) back.

Wow. I was thoroughly entertained by this story. The three things that I tend to notice the most in stories I like are the characters, the dialogue, and the story telling... And I think you did wonderfully in all three.
First of all, I'm glad to see a fanfic with the Doctor's Daughter. I've always thought she was a cool character, and since she survived I always wanted to see her again. This was a cool idea to have her introduced to the Eleventh Doctor. But your characterization of all of the characters were spot on. Are you British? Cos you write like you come from the British culture. Anyhow. The Doctor was spot on, quick, silly, a little condescending and forever on a whole different playing field as everyone else. Rory was written extremely well. And I'm glad you wrote him snarky. It's always fun to watch him and Amy have some sort of upper hand on the Doctor. And of course, Amy. Fiery and strong willed as ever. Very good job on the characterization. It all seemed so fluid and natural. I actually pictured this as one of those random side stories that you see on the DVD extras. The characters were THAT well written.
The dialogue goes well in that category too. The thing i love about doctor who (well, there's many things I love about Doctor Who) is th dialogue. It's quick, it's witty, it's smart and it's always full of heart. Your dialogue reflected those aspects nicely. Particularly the Doctor's dialogue. You managed to express his words in a way that completely made sense... I kinda don't know how to explain it, but I've read some doctor who fanfics where the Doctor is so NOT the Doctor. I feel like some writers try too hard. But yours was natural. It made sense, and it was hilarious!
Finally, the story telling. It was very cool. Flashbacks to explain the how, the present story line to explain the what, eventually having them collide into one. It was cool. Not only that, but you had past tense for the past, present tense for the present... I felt like you were able to capture the tone and mood of each time period well, which helped with the overall atmosphere of the story. And something else I feel you did very well in: the narration. Being in third person can often be dull and dry, but your descriptions and pauses, and explanations of what others are thinking was perfect for Doctor Who. It was sort an old style narration with a modern feel, if that makes any sense. I really liked it :)
Anyhow. Good job on your story. You've definitely got a talent. Keep it up!

One of the main reasons I don't read much Doctor Who fanfiction despite it being my favorite fandom ever is that most stories I read are unable to process the basic fact that the Doctor isn't human. He doesn't think exactly like a human, he doesn't react to things in the same way a human does; he simply is different, and most stories are unable to capture that. I think your characterization of him here is spot-on. I love the Jenny-Doctor interaction in this story, and look forward to seeing how you further expand on their relationship.
