Can I just say I always look forward to your updates? Especially now that you're practically taunting us with the knowledge that Genesis is in the next chapter? I'm very interested to see how they'll interact for a second meeting, because there could be a ton of possible scenarios to work with and it's gonna feel like forever til Sunday's update.

Gah, your author note sent me on a 2 hour reading trip! Seriously, I spent two hours reading "The Fifth Act" instead of doing my school work, and I was horribly confused since I've never played FF (only found out about this because of author alerts).
Sorry, but I just wanted to say that. Anyways, on the the review! I liked it, but then I like anything with OC Brit in it; she just can't seem to catch a break. And her plan of being so ordinary that Tseng would decide she wasn't worth it kind of failed, miserably.

So yeah...Great job! And good luck with all your stories! (Are you still going with Pokemon? Please don't give up! I'm looking forward to watching Brit finally manage to get Apollo to do stuff.)

Yeah, running from them is totally a bad idea. Might as well go along with it. I like how you wrote Tseng. It's like from what I remember of playing Crisis Core, which has been a long time ago, you wrote him well, good work. Can't wait to see Brit's incoming accomplishments with SOLDIER and later run-ins with the main characters.

I've read the Fifth Act (on your advice), and so far this is way better. But this has Brittany, so it's better than everything except New Reality.

A previous fic I've read crossed our world and the FF7 world, and in that fic, humans from our world were essentially 100% Cetra. Given Brittany's ability to use Artes despite the lack of mana, isn't it possible that her body make-up is at least similar enough to that of a Cetra that she is tapping into the lifestream, and her body, already conditioned to mana, is expelling it as it would normally expel mana?

I've surprised with Brittany. Is she really so rusty and caught off-guard that all the things beat into her by Kratos and her time in Aselia were just forgotten so easily? Her discussion with Tseng didn't go anything like what I'd expected it to be like. So far it seems like she wasn't even affected that much by her time in Aselia, though perhaps it's just subtler than I'm expecting. I realize the fact that she's not freaking out is a big thing, but her behavior seems to be just as random as it was before, without her time in Aselia rubbing off on her like it should have. In fact, to someone that can perfectly imitate Kratos, wouldn't copying him be her default behavior in this world in the first place. Both as a kind of security blanket keeping her calm by focusing on something familiar, and as a way of dealing with things by looking at them through Kratos' eye's rather than her own. Even forgetting Kratos for a moment, Brittany was greatly influenced by the other members of the group, but so far it doesn't seem to be showing that much. As ridiculous as it is for me to say this to you of all people, Brittany almost seems a little OOC. Okay, so that was more arrogant than ridiculous, but I stand by it.

Suh-wheet! You got out an update out! Whoo! I am so happy to see this out a day earlier than you actually promised. And updates every Sunday... huh, that's kind of better. At least I get to read it on my free days.

And well, I think you characterized Tseng well. He has a ruthless side, but he's not a complete monster and is very human. Of course, this doesn't make him a kind caring person but, well, he has his limits. And good job stating that Hojo and the Science Department keep far away from her... it'll keep them away but at the same time they'll probably want to know what's up.

So next chapter Brittany will get the Mako treatments and at the same time she'll be meeting our favorite red-coat SOLDIER who goes by the name of Genesis. I can only imagine just how hilarious their encounter will be. Hope he doesn't start thinking of Brittany being the Goddess or something.

Also, I think Genesis is a combination of Lloyd and Kratos with a few minor differences here and there. Heh, heh, heh... Red and Auburn...

Like your stories in general but the whole SOLDIER thing has put me off this one, its overused and reeks of marysueness, if you felt you needed a reason to be in the action joining the Turks would have work better and been more origional to boot. otherwise its a good start. especially like your silent hill fic.

Interesting chapter. I guess it could be considered a good thing that she joined, putting up to much resistance could make her seam suspicious.
