Wow, I really enjoyed this! I loved that you kept it close to the plot of the movie and kept in certain lines of dialogue, but still made it your own thing and didn't reproduce the movie word-for-word. It made it both familiar and new at the same time, and it was a very unique idea that was very well executed.

I dunno why you said you're not good at angst, you definitely made me cry. I love love loved this. The mythological references, how in character everyone felt, Astrid's relationship with Ruffnut ... And with Hiccup! Everything felt true and honest and like it could've actually been the movie. This was exactly what I was hoping for in Dragons fanfiction. Thank you.

good lord, what have i found here? a little treasure? honestly if the original movie was an engaging as this story was, it might have more fans. though not a lot of kids admittedly, but more in the teenage/adult area. what i'm getting at here is this was just a random ff i found and couldn't stop reading when i started. if you wrote a book as imaginative and capturing as this story was, i would immediately try to find it and read it over and over again much like i will do with this little treasure. thank you for entertaining me with this new spin of a cgi i liked.

I think this story is one of the most under-rated of all time. You truly deserve more credit for your writing than you have gotten.

For some reason, I imagine a Ruffnut/Fishlegs relationship being an Eska/Bolin type thing. And this was an AWESOME story!
