| LittleNK chapter 20 . 1/11
Well done! I really enjoy seeing Rhaegar in Winterfell!
| Ramzes chapter 20 . 1/10
The North really doesn't agree with Rhaegar, does it? His first clash with the harsh reality that he isn't exactly popular and he has only himself to blame. But it was good to see him making some growing-up. I wonder what his visit to the Wall would bring up to his character. At least he's now scared of the prophecy, instead of eager to set it in motion.
But my favourite part was the reaction of the Stark family, I found the dosage of hospitality and dislike quite precise. Catelyn was especially wonderful.

Glad too see an update, was wondering when you would continue. Quite a few development's and now Jon Connington is acting hand of the King until Lord Arryn returns. Gonna be frustrating as hell to have to either write Lord Connington or Lord Arryn since they are both named Jon lol
Speaking of Connington, how is he viewed by others in the Stormlands? I may have missed mention of it in an earlier chapter but correct me if am wrong but he was the ONLY Baratheon banner men to side with the Targaryens and rebel against his liege lord. Granted the Loyalists won the war but Robert was still well loved and it's doubtful people of the Storm lands would forget that Jon actively opposed him and welcome him back home with open arms. Also it has been a while so I may need to go back and re-read but how well is Ashara received in Storms End? Seeing a how she was on the Targaryens side of the conflict and is now wed to the Lord of Storms End, I mean some people had to have been a little vexed by that.
And man, Rhaegar is clueless in regards to Jon lol. Everyone can see it but him.
keep up the good work, update soon.

Hell, just when Rhaegar stopped seeing the children as embodiment of a prophecy, Aemon started. *grin*.
It was nice to see Jon Con around again and I was quite amused at Rhaegar's cluelessness. I appreciate Elia's tact in not enlightening him because I got the feeling she had some idea of what was going on. And Rhaenys missing Viserys was a nice touch.
It rang very true for Rhaegar to worry about the children's mental health. Only... dude, haven't you omitted someone? When your father was your age, he was generous and charming. He only deteriorated later. But well, once entitled, always entitled. Of course Rhaegar wouldn't think that going mad is possible for HIM. I find it ironic since his obsessive nature and dark moods seem to be making their way back into his life.
And now he'll go North. I can't wait to see it!

Hmm, I wonder what Aemon will say about the children. Please update soon!
| SwordsmanofS chapter 1 . 10/28/2013
I have a question: why is Jon named Jon in this? I'm positive that Jon got his name from Ned, not Lyanna. He named Robb after Robert, and Jon after Jon Arryn. So if the rebellion failed, why name the boy after a traitor? I can understand it for recognition purposes, but it doesn't feel right.

I just wanted to say this is a wonderfully written piece, and a joy to read. Thank you

Wow, Rhaegar learned his lesson, I can't believe it. Elia's strength does come across nicely through her ability to actually enjoy spending time with Rhaegar, rather than just tolerate him. I believe she'll be more watchful in the future, though. Who knows, he might just read a new prophecy and go off his rockers once again. At least he knows he's limited in something - Arthur is better with sword.
Is it just me, or is Rhaegar actually starting to see his children as people, instead of figures in his prophecy?

Yea you updated! I was so excited when I saw that; it feels like forever since you updated, but then I am always impatient waiting for stories that I love to be updated. Such a great chapter as always. Elia was amazing as always, especially when she has fun teasing Rhaegar. When I read "No matter how much time one spends with one of you, I do not think anyone could quite completely understand the way a Targaryen looks at things" I laughed out loud and so hard people looked at me.
I also enjoyed a Rhaegar that was understanding towards Elia and to himself. That you made him learn from his experiences. The comment you made about him finally learning the lessons from the tragedy of Summerhall was like yes this is a Rhaegar I can like (and hardly any fanfics have one of those). Please update soon- and hopefully we'll see the next chapter of Changed Circumstances will be up soon (hint, hint).
| Zexs chapter 14 . 8/4/2013
Stannis really has no clue what he's doing does he.
| Zexs chapter 11 . 8/4/2013
Are we actually going to get a happy, nonalcoholic, sword wielding badass Cersei?
| Mariagoner chapter 17 . 8/2/2013
Poor Jon. I hope he and Lysa can find some happiness soon - and he doesn't get poisoned by her this time around!
| Mariagoner chapter 16 . 8/2/2013
Rhaegar does marriage counseling: what a hilarious irony!
| Mariagoner chapter 14 . 8/2/2013
Rhaegar's jealousy is so adorable. I want more suitors for Elia now!
| Mariagoner chapter 13 . 8/2/2013
For what they did, the cost of wanting to be together, it would have been expected that she live the life of a princess and then a queen; a more restrictive life than that of a high-born lady. Despite excelling at such a life she would have hated it.
Perfect. Excellent. Exactly. If Lyanna had lived, her life would have been one of absolute misery and trying to make her a second queen was always a fool's idea. It's good that Rhaegar has matured enough to realize as much!
