Reviews for Stargate Effect |

![]() ![]() ![]() The Citadel forces are not waging an offensive - that would imply they are invading someone else's territory. What they are waging is a defensive action against murderous human pirates that attacked a police force without provocation and are now seizing Citadel territory by force. The humans are an armed invasion force, every bit as bad as the Goa'uld or Wraith so far. You seem to be very good at writing villains, but you are presenting the humans as heroes when they are not. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Again, why are the words of that Terminus ship crew being taken as gospel with zero verification, to the extent that their lies are being stated as facts to government officials? The Codex that the Humans are procrastinating about translating alone would prove the liars are lying. You are depicting humanity as being hopelessly gullible, foolish and naive here. |
![]() ![]() ![]() The Council is a dictatorship in exactly the same way the European Union or United States or the United Nations are dictatorships - not at all. The Salarians and Asari are democratic republics, the Turians are a military meritocracy. Each appoints a Councilor, and the Council votes on international matters. Why do you have the Humans in this juggling multiple idiot balls and taking the word of a Terminus pirate with zero verification or critical thought? Why are the victims of Lehmon's murderous rampage being considered to be despotic and evil solely because when shot at in cold blood, they defend themselves? |
![]() ![]() ![]() So basically, out of misplaced pride at being the fifth race, Captain Lehmon decided that the best way to act was to behave like a Goa'uld? Knowing nothing about the circumstances, he opened fire on a rescue mission, murdering the crews of multiple ships for the 'crime' of being armed in his presence, and starting a war with people that were not his enemies until he decided to murder thousands in cold blood. I hope you deal with him accordingly in the next chapter or two - he's exactly the sort of person Senator Kinsey was. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Glad to hear you'll continue writing, looking forward to it. Leave the old story up, but mod its title so readers know there is an updated edition.. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Good to see you back, looking forward to the rewrite! :D |
![]() ![]() ![]() My preference is to never delete old versions. Among other reasons, because it breaks any cases where someone might have wanted to link to a specific chapter to point out an interesting bit of writing and, if someone is trying to maintain an archive of FFnet (or do something else automated), it might confuse the automation into not realizing new content has been uploaded. |
![]() ![]() Okay ... Are you dumb why would they shoot the turians out the blue ? and I say again policians are not a shady devil that acts like a kid . |
![]() ![]() ![]() If this was a printed book, I'd use its pages to wipe my ass after a dump. |
![]() ![]() Will you continue with this story? |
![]() ![]() ![]() Good story, bye |
![]() ![]() wow...this is bad. And you should feel bad writing this garbage. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I liked how Beckett prodded the Krogan on why they deserved to survive. HC is overextending itself without commiting more personnel to Andromeda. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Since when do the SGC have Omni-tools? The plan is what? To unleash the Krogan so that the citadel races can eat crow while the Tau'ri ride high laughing all the way? Why did the HV commit so much to an endeavour they could not be sure would reap dividends? |
![]() ![]() ![]() You've made the SG not just reckless but approaching malevolence. Why would HC worry about the Council developing hyperdrives and shields? How would they even do so without Naquadah or Naquadria? Only the Asgard and Ancients had learned to generate enough power witout use of these substances. SG involvement in this galaxy is becoming increasingly agressive, your doing a real number on their reputation and I have yet to see a genuine reason for all this aggression; except for its own sake. |
