I think you should bring the other humans of the Milky Way galaxy to be a part of the Tau'ri government you will be able to build more ships have mining rights to the planet’s and if you don’t the Jaffa will try and take them remember Gerak , Teal'c will try to stop them but the others have spent their lives thinking they are above the humans

I sure hope they're not fooled into thinking the Pirates are the good guys. Lol that first contact situation was severely FUBAR'd.

Umm.. Should he have not tried to contact them to see what they were doing first? First Contact protocol and all, lol.

Turian warships may be the most advanced in Citadel space, but Salarian warships can easily be the most sophisticated, and Asari warships could probably take the greatest beatings.

Of course, none of them could stand up to Tau'ri warships, so...

I had mixed feelings until I saw the part about disclosure coming up. I don't hate this story, but I find myself disappointed. It seems like wasted potential.

The setting is an interesting one. Putting the Mass Effect races in another galaxy rather than the same galaxy or another universe is something I haven't seen before. This Earth is powerful... too powerful. I thought it was post-disclosure, which would work. However, there's just no way to sustain offworld operations in any sort of large scale and keep it secret. The likelihood of a secret getting out is proportional to the square of the number of people who know it. You can only pass off so many expensive hammers.

Mass Effect versus Stargate is a curbstomp. I am of two minds on that. I don't like excessive stomp fics, nor do I like excessive changes to canon. Normally, Mass Effect would at least have the advantage of a larger production base, more numbers, and superior ground forces. In this case, the above canon Tau'ri are so overpowered they could roll over everyone, take over, and the story ends.

The next qualm I have with this fic is not so much one of content but of depiction. Intentionally or otherwise, the humans come across as a great race working together for good, and the Council a bunch of backwards idiots plotting against each other. Or rather, they're supposed to- humanity comes off as extremely arrogant. Later chapters were better for this, admittedly- the Council is a bit smarter and the Tau'ri interference is treated as a mistake. Still, while they may think they're doing good, sticking your nose in galactic affairs is generally a bad idea. I would like to see both sides of the story explored.

The last thing is your OCs. OCs are not bad, but it's quite jarring to see an entire cast of OCs when a story takes place not that long after the end of the series. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like to see the canon characters react to and explore this new place.

Okay, actually, one more thing. There's this Wraith threat in the background, and it's big, and that's all we know about it. It has a 1984 kind of feel at this point- describe it a bit more so it's a proper plot element and not something made up to keep things going a certain way.

The writing quality... it's not great, but it's not bad either, and the length is about right. I'll see where this goes.

I am actually enjoying this story and you have a lot of things in this story to build on to keep things going. I look forward to seeing how news of this is received and all that. Please keep up the good work. Though you do have a few issues with a missing word or two here and there but nothing TOOO major. Please update soon!
