I never liked Irisviel and Kiritsugu’s relationship. It’s just… weird, Irisviel could have fallen in love with literally anyone else so long as they treated her well and taught. Kiritsugu has Irisviel die for him to follow his ideal and win the grail and what does he do? He cheats on her and doesn’t just spend all the remaining time she has with her.

This fic is just…so, so good. I don't even know how many times I've read it at this point. It almost physically hurts that there isn't more, but what is here is still a joy to read.
