Interesting premis, I like the idea and how you have brought Lillian and Julian in. Look forward to seeing the differences in Lex and how he relates to everyone with the added influence of his mother and brother.
One small niggle $2,000 wouldn't even have bought a second hand pickup let alone a pickup and a Jaguar, either in 2001 or now. A top of the line Jag alone would cost between $80 - $140 thousand, a Dodge Ram pickup about $26 thousand if Lex was buying a top of the range one (which he would do) so i would change your costing to either $150 thousand or $200 thousand if you factor in Lex buying both cars with all the optional extras. That is if your looking to be believable.
