I am in love with this fic! I find myself coming back to this from time to time! Your Jily characterizations are perfect, and I really enjoyed the interactions with their friend group too. You fleshed out almost every character we saw, and it made me feel more connected to them. I especially loved the way you showed Lily's fears with respect to what's happening outside Hogwarts and how she is now ready to face them. You are an amazingly talented writer and I just want to say that this fic in particular has gripped me, and I don't want it to let go!

This story has officially passed 1k reviews (I saw it was close and reviewed a ton of chapters to push it over!) and I can’t think of another story that deserves it more! Like another reviewer said recently, this is my emotional comfort fic. I first read it probably about a decade ago and I have been coming back to it time and and time again since my 15 year old self first found it. It’s just that great! So well written and the characterizations are absolute perfection! I’ll be back soon enough to read it again!

Every time I read this I think he’s going to propose at the beech tree even though I know how the story goes. But I love the way you actually wrote it so much better!
