It used to be disappointing when I found a great fic only to notice it hadn't updated in a while.

... Then we hit 2020 and I have to start seriously wondering whether all my favourite authors have just up and died, or had their lives interrupted in some way.

Whether or not the story's dead, hope you're doing well! This was wonderful, and continues to be on every re-read.

(also, I feel like there's going to be a long line of depopulated raider outposts between the Sierra Madre and New Vegas by the time Cain gets back)

just finished the story and it is definitely one of the best. Pretty much everything is perfect. It reads more like it came from a professional author rather than a fanfic one. 10/10 definitely one my favorites. I don't know if plan on continuing the story but if you do I eagerly look forward to it.

For anyone who is wondering, she hasn't abandoned the fic, she's just busy with other stuff and will eventually return to it. So don't worry me amigos.

Watching Alex fall apart, barely able to keep it together, was really interesting. Seeing him react with disgust to his own actions was also very surprising to me, to the point he nearly started crying, like goddamn. It was all worth it though, because Elijah got his comeuppance in the end, couldn’t have happened to a better guy. I know this fic hasn’t been updated in like two years, but if you ever do plan on coming back to this, I super look forward to it!

Damn dude, Dog and God’s ending always gets me. I was surprised at the little moments of understanding them and Alex had in the final conversations, but I suppose I shouldn’t have been, Alex would know better than most what it’s like to lose yourself like that. I’m excited to see what happens in these next two chapters.

I think this chapter has had some of the best characterization I’ve seen for Dog, God, and Christine. The way you wrote Dog, with his childish reactions but keen predatory instinct, was super good! His entire section of the chapter honestly makes me want to boot up FNV again so I can experience him and the Dead Money again. Poor dude breaks my heart with what he’s had to go through, but I’m eager to see how this ends for him.

I think the way you justified separating Alex and Cain felt really well done this chapter! It didn’t feel contrived or forced at all in order to get Cain alone for Dog to kidnap her. I’m really eager to get into the Dead Money arc again knowing what comes next!

This is probably my fifth time reading this story over the years and I’ve gotta say that this is definitely a phenomenal chapter in a phenomenal story. The build-up of Alex’s struggle to maintain his secret really added to the tension when it all fell apart. I think my favorite part, though, was watching Cain work through it in her head. Seeing her struggle with her own morals as she sees the utility of his ability to consume and learn is really dope. The characterization for everyone involved is super good and I’m glad I keep coming back to this story.

Fantastic work, but that last arc was not enjoyable despite being well written. Hope you come back to this someday, I'd love to see more.

This arc is getting really old, it's making me glad I never got this DLC for NV.

This fic is extrordinary! The pacing, the dialogue, the relationship between charcters, how you can get into their thoughts...brilliant. Devestated it's not been updated in so long, hope you rediscover your mojo/muse!

I love the way the Characters are written, how the story is paced and how it is structured.
I really hope you come back to writing this story farther because I really want to see how this whole mess is going to be explained to Arcade and Veronica and there reactions to it.
