This was short but really good. I would like to see more of what Garth does to other Vulcans be4 he tries ailens. Hopefully you will not skip to the 23rd century. YOU will be writing a DETAILED SCENE of the confrontation between Garth and his master right!? I like that you alternate chapters (scenes). Bina

I really like this story so far. One comment I would make for this chapter is that you need to find a way to delineate point of view shifts. One minute we are with Jim and the next with McCoy, Spock and Uhura, and then back with Jim and Admiral Komack, and it is hard to follow if you don't give the brain a signal that we are changing gears.

Another thing that struck me as odd is why you made the decision to have Jim taken alone, instead of having Spock summoned as well. First, if the Captain is in danger, the First needs to know about it, and second, he is a Vulcan weapons collector and so might know something about the weapons, and because of them might be able to narrow down the list of those who might be gunning for Kirk and Ambassador Sarek, so to speak.

There are some grammar issues that can make the story a bit confusing at times, but overall, it is a good story. I am looking forward to reading more. I want to see where it goes.

Damn. I wrote feedback after you posted the last chapter, which for some inexplicable reason never showed up here.

I was telling you how promising I find this work and how i love all the canon and fanon references and I mentioned Demons an Vulcan Academy murders, LeMatyas and all kinds of things. But now I find myself unable to write the exact same feedback again (memory is the first to go;-)).

It's been quite some time since I read Demons last. You've got me about ready to grab it right now an re-read.

I also love the Le Matya reference. Vulcan Academy Murders was a great novel - mysteries and murder and a Vulcan element, just like your story... :-)

Also, always a pleasure to read fic from an author who knows his universe inside and out.

This was good as expected. And having Ambassador Sarek arrive at the very end was quite the cliffhaanger. One episode of TNG had a Vulcan who tried to kill some ailens (a few guys from Picard's ship.) She used a Vulcan device called the Stone of Gol or something. I remember it required the aid of a telepath to make it work. The episode is kind of fuzzy to me. It has been a while. But sure was good. Do you know the episode. I remember the Vulcan in question was played by former Trek actress Robin Curtis who played Saavik in the movies. I think you said the story would be updated infrequently. But pls update sooner then later! :) You sure did a good job with the suspense in your story. Starfleet sure treated Kirk like a criminal. Are you familiar with the VToshKatur Vulcans? You will have to double check the spelling.

Please update soon. This was good. And a Vulcan with mind melding powers like that...I am ready to read more about him. I appreciate the glimpse you have given us into the adepts and Vulcan.

The story has real potential. I like the set-up, but I don't usually read works in progress. I'll hope to see this one completed and that it will be a fun, TOS style adventure; featuring Spock and McCoy nearly as equally as Kirk. I just don't love the Captain enough to indulge him as a one-man show.

This is a good read and the build of tension is working. The characters are well written too and I could hear the conversation between Spock and McCoy. Would be interesting to know when in the Trek timeline this is happening. I assume during the first mission but Uhura says there are a lot of new crew aboard. Or perhaps that will be part of the reveal...
