![]() ![]() ![]() You are my all time favorite! Thanks for your writung and many greetings from Germany. |
![]() ![]() ![]() What a wonderful story! I love your writing, and while it's not for everyone since you really write in the historical period of the time, the rhythm of the verse is so well written that I easily adjusted to it. Loaded with drama, this romance had a lot of UST and angst. I was completely captivated the first 3/4s (it dropped off a little toward the end). I'm not usually one demanding green-eyed babies, but really would have liked to see these two get some. They go through a lot, and I think they deserved a bigger HEA than the one they got. So my only real wish is that it would have had an epilogue. Nonetheless, a definite rec for this B/E romance set in the rural Kentucky mountains of the 1930s. If you like historical fics, this needs to go on your TBR. Thank you so much for writing and sharing this story! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Lawd, that was a lovely, lovely story! It was gripping and compelling and emotional and sweet. I'm not sure how you're able to totally capture the voice of the times you write about, but it always feels so incredibly authentic. I can't imagine the amount of research you do, but thank you so much for sharing this with us! Katy |

![]() ![]() ![]() I just finished this story and I loved it. Edward was perfect - just the right balance of manly and romantic. I'm looking to reading your other stories. Thank you for writing! |

![]() ![]() ![]() When I was 6 yrs old, my dad worked in the logging camps in California. We had our own house and walked down to the road where the school bus would pick us up. One day, after getting off the school bus and walking up that big hill home, the boy I was walking with saw another boy on his porch holding his father's rifle. He asked to see it and that boy pointed the gun at my friend and fired. I screamed bloody murder and went tearing up that hill all the way home. Later on, we found out that my friend suffered a shot to the leg, so bad that they had to cut it off. Mind you, I was 6, I was scared and all I wanted was my mom. The step I was standing on, was hit by the bullet as it came out of his leg. Although I have forgotten my friend's name, I never forgotten that day. It wasn't long after that, we moved down into McKinleyville. This story brought back that feeling of living so far out of civilization and not having the amenities of grocery stores or department stores around. It brought back the memories of early mornings and critters in the woods. I could picture it all as I read. Thank you for sharing a story so well written. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Another incredible story. This one was hard at times, because of the subject matter, but you told it honest and beautifully. Thank you for sharing. |
![]() ![]() ![]() And I miss this one even moreā¦.*bigger sigh* |
![]() ![]() ![]() Poor Bella. I'm so glad she's standing up for herself a little but, but I fear she's going to pay for it. I also have a feeling Jacob gets what he has coming to him. He is a despicable little man. |
![]() ![]() ![]() First chapter and I'm hooked already. You are such a talented writer. Thanks for sharing. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Awww, that was a wonderful ending. I love the note of hope as they drive away. I hope you do an epi one day, reuniting them all in some way again. Thanks for the ride xxxx |
![]() ![]() ![]() Im glad Edward has realised their future is not in the camp, but I also understand Bella's reluctance. She has found people & acceptance. |
