I like the simple, story-telling style you've got here. It fits the tone nicely.
Can I just tell you how much I love tragic stories? In that respect, this is wonderful, especially the Cassiopeia-breaking-the-doll bit. And I'm absolutely loving Belvina.
Please continue this! *begs*

I like this...;D
| Gray Doll chapter 1 . 11/5/2012
Oh, that was... creepy, kind of from the beginning. The bit with Cassiopeia not having a very firm grasp of the concept "family" worked really well as an intro, I think... And Belvina really /was/ sinister. Very subtly so, I guess, but I think that fact made the "intro" all the more ominous. Question -Cassy naming her doll "Lolita"... does this have anything to do with Vladimir Nabokov's novel? Because it seems like it... I mean, with her father assaulting her later and the faint impression she has that she's been called Lolita before by someone... Anyway, this was great...

[Congratulations, you have gotten to the next round of my Multichap Competition. I apologize for the late review.]
I loved the way you began this, with Cassiopeia's connection between the word 'aunt' and 'doll'. It wasn't an amazing, shocking, or startling beginning, but it was subtly intriguing, and I wanted to read on.
The title was also a good choice - sort of disturbing and dark, and it suited the fic very well.
I'm definitely looking forward to the next chapter of this piece. Good job!

Gamma! You dedicated this beautiful story to me? *hugs* Thank you! But you as well have done wonders to our head!canon. When I read the part of Belvina, I immediately pin pointed the china doll with the curse that we gave Cassy. And I imagined the doll was meant to look like Cassy and meant to be the catalyst of the cursing becoming true of Cygnus raping Cassy. I loved the description of it all and I wanted to be the one to rock and soothe Cassy! And I loved that I saw a lot of Emilie Autumn references :) Gothic Lolita-Cassy's song! Wonderful and I wait with anxious to read more Gamma! Well done! :D You woke me up with is!
