“regardless of their lower social standing” should belower connections and wealth, bc in terms of social standing they are equal as children of country squires, but this is darcy, and he does think highly of himself soo, i guess it’s still acceptable since he does have familial connections to an earl

This plotline got very dissappointing, very quickly.
Darcy is forgiven in a flicker and everything is forgotten. I'm a big fan of poetic justice and wish to see the fairness we dont see in the real world, in stories. Hence it was very disappointing to see her forgive him so quickly without even trying to punish him.
But your writing is very captivating and I think you are very talented. I'll keep reading to the end but I just wanted to say how unfair it was that he never paid the price.
