Wow, an excellent allegory to life at the end. I think you really hit the nail on the head with, "there were no solid answers." In the end, life is what we make of it, each his own. The Great Perhaps, thats we can be more than human, more than anything else. Maybe, we are the labyrinth. Perhaps, suffering is what we are, stumbling from one wretched mistake the next, counting our steps before we stumble again. There are no real answers to these questions, only paper people living in their infinities, loving who they aren't.

Excellent. The bit that Dr. Hyde said about the Great Perhaps brought a few tears to my eyes. I never considered this angle, but I really enjoyed reading it.
