WARNING! Carry on reading! Or you will die, even if you only looked at the word warning! Once there was a little girl called Clarissa, she was ten-years-old and she lived in a mental hospital, because she killed her mom and her dad. She got so bad she went to kill all the staff in the hospital so the More-government decided that best idea was to get rid of her so they set up a special room to kill her, as humane as possible but it went wrong the machine they were using went wrong. And she sat there in agony for hours until she died. Now every week on the day of her death she returns to the person that reads this letter, on a Monday night at 12:00 a.m. She creeps into your room and kills you slowly, by cutting you and watching you bleed to death. Now send this to ten other pictures on this one site, and she will haunt someone else who doesn't. This isn't fake. apparently, if you copy and paste this to ten comments in the next ten minutes you will have the best day of your life will either get kissed or asked out, if you break this chain u will see a little dead girl in youlelel.!.

There's some theories that go around that the curses would just be mixed if that happened, as shown by Toru for instance, but yes that would ruin the fun of it if the solution was that simple lol. Of course, you might just as well say that the curse itself might have made the thought slip their mind ;)

But the springs might combine and then see what u got.
Ashar chapter 1 . 11/6/2012
You know, that would have NEVER worked. The True Goddess of that series' canon (read: Takahashi-san) would have never allowed it.

Pretty much useful to talk about it like speculating about honesty among politicians. :p
Phobos chapter 1 . 11/5/2012
Newsflash: the springs mix. Pantyhose Taro adds tentacles to his cursed form via a second dip. wiki/Pantyhose_Taro All that Ranma would end up with would be a hermaphrodite curse, rather than a proper cure. Research: The more you know.
James Birdsong chapter 1 . 11/5/2012
Nice fic of course
Richard Ryley chapter 1 . 11/5/2012
Actually, the prevailing theory is that the Spring of Drowned Man, while it exists, has either not been mapped, or was misplaced. It's likely the Jusenkyo Guide knows the location of all the springs close to his hut, as that is where most people fall in, but those further down the valley may not be known so well.

Explaining why Shampoo didn't just jump in the Spring of Drowned Girl immediately, given that it's right near the entrance, is a lot more difficult. The most likely answer is she is not ALLOWED to cure her curse. Her curse was a punishment, and to reverse it would result in even worse punishment from the Amazon leaders.

It's also interesting to note that Ranma says he wants to go back to China in the first episode, so Genma likely dragged him away before he could look for a cure. However, the Spring of Drowned Man is only mentioned as a cure for the curse for the first time in the Instant Nannichuan arc. It's not explained how they suddenly came to the realization that they just needed to jump in the spring that matched their gender.

More complex theories say you CAN'T cure the curse, the Spring of Drowned Man remains as a tantilizing lure, but it will either mix with your curse, making things worse, or you simply cannot jump into it, as circumstances will conspire to prevent it. The curse will not "let go" until you learn to accept the lesson it is trying to teach. In other words, in order to cure the curse, you must no longer want to cure it.

Also, minor nitpick but Genma is not the founder of Anything Goes Martial Arts, Happosai is.
