That was great. I just watched the live Carrie Underwood version of The Sound of Music on NBC last night, and now I can't get enough of it. I love seeing how you and other writers create stories about what the Von Trapp's lives are like after they've escaped from Austria. I really liked yours with all the childrens' questions as well as Maria's and Georg's. Do you have another story that deals with their lives once they arrive in New York?

It's official, you're one of my favorite authors on this website! Loved this story so much, the way that you describe and portray the relationship between Georg and Maria is absolutely fantastic. I wish I knew of a better way to describe how much I enjoy it! Excellent work!

Perfect, and perfectly written. I've never seen someone keep the Captain so perfectly in character. He is a tough one and I am very picky about how he is written, especially. The dialogue is so clever and beautiful. Just amazing, from start to finish. Please write more Sound of Music stories because you are a breath of fresh air!

Great story. I really love how you captured the characters!
| toons27 chapter 1 . 11/11/2012
Aww, I love this story! I like how the characters were true to how they were in the movie. It's also refreshing to read a story about them making safely to America WITHOUT some certain Nazis catching/kidnapping them.

I did enjoy this story. I liked how true to the characters you were. The dialogue was wonderful. I really hope you write some more!

I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this story. Lines like "Well, it's the ocean, darling. It's more about what you feel than what you see." and "It is, my love, I'm sure of it, only it's not a vintage of defeat that I have never tasted." kept Georg in character, which very few authors do so well. The part about Agathe was masterful - I have always wondered how Maria made her peace with Agathe's memory and I like the way that Georg was so open to the conversation. I loved the whole silent question thing - very romantic. Hope your schoolwork went well and come back soon!

Beyond perfect, and some of the best characterisation I have seen. I hope you will write more for this pairing in the future.
