I was preparing for angst galore when this chapter was released, but the pain wasn't actually that bad. Temptations come and go, but mutual admiration and loyalty is constant. I thought I was going to end up hating my favorite dominatrix in this chapter, seeing as how she doesn't care much for being in the middle of a broken marriage, and yet, it was alright in the end. Brilliant chapter. Really can't wait for the next one.

I like this version much better than the show although i felt so much for poor Molly. Just goes to show that Sherlock may be smart but he's still just a man who can be led by his 'other brain'. Glad he came to his senses.

Just wonderful. Marriage always has complications and I love how you wrote this without Sherlock having to cheat

ooh! that was a beautifully thought out and executed AU version. all the right and important details from the original show, but with a brilliant twist on things. very fantastic chapter, dear. i love it!

I loved it. I must confess I really like Irene (I'm quite an Adlock shipper), but I also like Molly a lot so I wasn't sure I'd really enjoy their interaction - or lack of - given Molly's status as Sherlock's wife. I was expecting Molly to be angry at him, believing he'd been unfaithful - what was a welcome surprise were Sherlock's emotions, his final declaration to his wife (whenever Sherlock gets to say 'I love you' I'm not sure if I'm gonna yell out of happiness or anger, some people just pull it off as if he were displaying his feelings openly all the time, and you made it seem plausible - you made him wait for the perfect moment).
"But in the end, he wanted a memento. Of the woman who beat him. Who tempted him. Who made him realize where he belonged."
That one line was also perfect. I'm so happy the outcome of Irene's involvment was a good one, after all.

Oh I really liked your re-working! I knew the minute it was a pocket-watch it would be in the drawer at the end.

Another brilliant weaving of your current storyline with the TV show. LOve the line about both being on the same side.

It took me an hour to finish reading this chapter, not only because it had 9k words, but also because I had to take several breaks from reading to calm down my feelings. Brilliant chapter. Very beautifully written. I'm still feeling a bit dazed after several minutes of reading it. There is something heavy on my chest that I can't shake away. This feeling is probably going to stay with me for the rest of the day.
