Reviews for Professor Riddle and the Quest for Tenure |

![]() ![]() ![]() What a delightfully strange story. Even incomplete, it contains many wonders. I enjoy all the little medieval details. Fascinating interpretation of Tom Sr., too. It’s interesting to see Tom’s daddy issues in his use of the stone. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Once again, I’m saddened by the fact that this is where it all ends. Anyhow though good chapter. Poor Lucius. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Haha, shouldn’t have killed her, huh Tom. This is probably the most coherent exploration of the British Wizard political scene I’ve ever read. It fits very well with canon whilst also appearing fresh and new. Again, I lament the fact that this story was abandoned so early on, so, so much potential snuffed in the cradle. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Very cool, grimdark atmosphere this chapter evoked. The social commentary on purebloods and their customs was also fascinating. I almost forgot but I like the way you portrayed the relation ship between atom Riddle Sr and Jr, interesting take, I wonder why Sr was summoned in the first place. Another great chapter. |
![]() ![]() ![]() So many little things I like about this chapter. Probably Nagini and all her scenes were my favourite. From fishing for compliments, to playing riddle games and dissing Bellatrix to the final, strangely touching scene between her and Tom. I also really think you did a good job evoking a dreamlike, aristocratic atmosphere. Great chapter overall. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Very eye catching opening, I wasn’t even planning on rereading this but it is just so delicious. It’s a shame that this story was discontinued before it got off the ground, very interesting premise. A lot of personality right from the start. |
![]() ![]() This was rather excellent. A shame it is abandoned. |
![]() ![]() This is the most highly entertaining, full of dry and biting humour work of fanfic I’ve ever read. I’m in a humanities PhD program and the concept of Riddle taking revenge on the academic applying Barthes to wizarding context and the middling bourgeois Leach has me in stitches. I didn’t even stumble on this because of that angle, rather I was looking for a delicious Bellatrix/Tom. I prefer their romance to be around the ages you’ve written them, which is to say his early rise, pre-missing nose era. She clearly is secretly turned on that his blood is polluted and it would’ve been fun to get more banter. I am sad this is abandoned and would honestly love to see you expand it but I know that’s wishful thinking 8 years on. |
![]() ![]() ![]() time turners do work wonders for alibis, even canonically. |
![]() ![]() Why does it seem like Nagini has a crush on Tommy's dad? Lol. Not gonna lie, I sort of ship it :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() Fookin' 'ell. These college papers always go over the top when simpler vocabulary can be put in it's place to be accessible to the layman, without losing the original meaning. Expert excrement expeditors like Fallout. I can't tell what it means. So, I'll guess what the writing tried to get at, without deeming my interpretation of the confusing peer-review to be the what the writer had intended, just because "muh-muh, MUH feelings!" If I'm going to have a "I reject your reality, and substitute my own" moment, it's going to be because your reality isn't factual, or the supposed "facts" being presented to me are wrong, and really are something else. Either Flay is giving a very simple way to tell which term to use based on the wizard/witch's actions, or there is no damn difference and he's just bringing in more bullshit into academia. Like the LGBT community redefining what gender means by hijacking the word "gender". It used to be a better, alternative word for sex, when used to distinguish between the male and female physical body. That way, sex can be easier to interpret as copulation. Then some people who want to pull the wool over everyone's eyes claim that gender is what one interprets their sex to be, meaning a boy can think themselves female, a female think themselves male, or a cat, or anything they damn well please. Canadian lawmakers turned "misgendering" into a criminally punishable offense. You would need to submit to the ridiculous requests of others, and have compelled speech where you refer to the other party by the titles they decree. Jordan Peterson had been a prominent figure in bringing this into public focus, for the good of Canada. Whether it's he, she xir, xhee, kitty xwee nyaa. Last I heard a couple years ago, there were about 58 pronouns officially listed, though I expect there to be far more now. Especially with Small Potato Trudeau and his globalist cuck ways. There is even a law in Canada that allows for children to be snatched from their parents by the government if they don't refer to them in the gender pronoun the child demands, even if that pronoun isn't an accurate reflection of their sex. Apparently, this is considered child abuse, even if the child is five years old, and getting their heads packed full of leftist bullshit in public schools. Oh, and they're entitled to sex-changes/hormone replacement at the parents' expense, or this is in legal terms considered child abuse which can result in separation of the child from its parent. Canada is being cucked, fight back Canadians against this postmodern, marxist, totalitarian crap! Unless I'm out of touch, because I think I read this news last November, and don't know if the law is still in effect. Is the "narritivity and alchemical compliance" what most neo-marxists and modernists/post-modernists want of the world? Basially, drugging everyone to the gills, so they are sheep who easily comply with globalist and SJW-backed forcing of crap narratives? So it's either be sanguine about all the crap that those groups spew and do, or be made into a nonentity in the same way of how one disappears when apparating, or disapparating. Quasimagical sounds like a term used to condense the magical act of apparating and disapparating, with the shittier welfare-abusing, rapacious cousin of muggle existentialism. And no, don't any of you compare Hamlet's skull holding soliloquy with this modernist and postmodernist crap. One had a combined choice of realist optimism philosophical value and mustering up courage, while the latter is just nihilistic, moral decaying, society degrading, terrorist supporting, commie trash. Telling us that only our feelings count for what is real and what isn't, is utter hooey! |
![]() ![]() ![]() This is brilliant. It's a shame you haven't continued it - I'd have loved to have read more. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Man I love the older Tom Riddle. Hehehehe he's so annoying. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Holy shit... whyyyyy did you make Tom Riddle seem human! lmao |
![]() ![]() ![]() geez i don't know what got into me when writing the last review. I meant to say your writing skill is remarkable... |
