OH THAT WAS ENJOYABLE. Heeeeeeee! Matthew in a kilt is... HOT. No two ways about it. Of COURSE Mary thought so and couldn't wait to explore the authenticity (UNF) more thoroughly...
My favourite thing, though, was the... placement. The library with the fire, the heavy oak door, doing it THAT way and the effect of that on Mary's senses, and - most of all, for some reason I ADORED his hand gripping hers as they... yeah... GOOD. :D And the cuteness after. ALWAYS GOOD. Aaaaaahhh! Well done, you. :P

Ooh! I particularly enjoyed the *naughty* portions of this - how Matthew teased her about the kilt's "authenticity" (hee! And whew! ;) and the way he seemed to egg her on during dinner, with the stroking of the wine glass (and where her eyes were fixed...oh my!) Her...investigating its authenticity was...quite an image! :) I'm DYING to know what your rejected titles were, though! Kudos to you for making "authentic" a dirty word - nicely subtle, and SO clever! Keep writing! :)
