A heavy emotional chapter for both yourself and the characters in your story...but something that needed to be done. I like how you handled Jiraiya personally and honestly wonder if Naruto will ever find it in his heart to forgive him...but only time will tell.

Great chapter as always! please don't let the naysayers get to you. the beauty of fanfics is how the writer can change 1 or more events and how they think those changes will trickle down the timeline. you are doing a great job in making a very realistic change and how it is affecting all the characters. it is far better than the instantaneous forgiveness most writers throw in there because they don't know how to pull in that emotional aspect.

also if the naysayers are flaming you this far in, then I have to question why they waste their time reading this fic if they really don't like it that much. i think this fic is fantastic. keep up the great work!

Man that was a pretty heavy chapter but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
I like how you protray Jiraiya, I saw too many fics where he is basked too much, shown as uncaring and living in his dream world or such. It's nice to see that he is human, he makes mistakes, but his thought process could be understood and even symphatize with him, yet still see that what he did was thr wrong choice.
Looking forward to the next chapter and what happens with Hinata. Keep up the good work

Great story! I don't usually like so many OC's in mainish roles but you've done it really well. Feel so sad for Itachi and his fiancé, hope they get a happy ending. Their poor thinking her son is a traitor too, will they ever tell her the truth? Hoping that with his clan, especially his Mum, around that Sasuke won't go to Orochimaru. Yes, Itachi needs to keep his cover but hopefully he doesn't end up pushing Sasuke to go there.

This Naruto is so much more competent, I like it! Was very happy to see his summons finally get used for something. Not the best way to find out about his godfather. Even if he never forgives him, hope he at least lets him explain so that he has all the facts.

And you are correct about piercing weapons and chainmail. While they do have an advantage it is not an automatic win. About the only weapons that do are special arrows and poignards. Even then it's not a guarantee
