Lovely chapter! Yes, I would say that she's accepted his suit.
And I agree that Minerva is helping them by letting them have time together.

Ha! She's throwing him horribly off-schedule (though I thought the never-tangling combs were a great idea and I want some).
But you know, I don't think he'll mind.

Ah, yes. I can't say I blame Snape for being cautious. Lily "she tore out my heart and stomped that sucker flat" made him somewhat less than eager to have it happen again.
But I think Hermione is going to step up the pace (though I wouldn't mind a pair of dragon hide gloves, either).
| excessivelyperky chapter 21 . 7/18/2015
I'm surprised that Minerva wants to see Hermione and Snape together-you'd think she'd hate seeing an evil Slytherin with a Gryffindor Princess. But even she can tell that Hermione is unhappy without him (and Lily was just fine that way).

So, is Snape ever going to get any treatment for his own PTSD?
Of course not. No matter what happens to him, he's going to be called on to help others, without ever getting any himself, sigh.

Ha, the anti-Viagra spell! Well, the Minister was just asking for it.
| excessivelyperky chapter 18 . 7/11/2015
Oh, my. Yes, if Hermione is forced to stay in Australia, they will pay dearly for it. By the time she's done, she'll have kangaroo herds invade Canberra (not that most of the Muggles there would mind too much, given the current occupants).
Never mind what Snape will do just because he's bored...
| excessivelyperky chapter 17 . 7/10/2015
Yes, I expect that Severus can give a few lessons on how to be too much trouble-and Hermione will eagerly go for it. Sadly, some fellows will like her anyway. But the outback has lots of room for bodies, yes?
| Guest chapter 49 . 7/8/2015
This was cute and hilarious thank you :)
| excessivelyperky chapter 16 . 7/5/2015
Well...at least Hermione's parents died doing something they loved, instead of at the end of Bella's wand.
But that doesn't really make it hurt much less. Severus might be of some help, though-he's more familiar with the Muggle world than Minerva is, and is less shy about Confunding people if they seem t need it.
| excessivelyperky chapter 15 . 6/30/2015
Of course she's going to have a bushy tail. Snicker.
And you'd better believe she'll have food in that beaded purse; she got enough flack the last time for not doing so.
But I love their give and take (especially the bit about Bella and her beauty potions).
| wine witch chapter 49 . 6/17/2015
Despite the PTSD problem you managed to write a funny story, well-written and pleasant to read. Thank you!
| wine witch chapter 46 . 6/16/2015
I love that "date", what a funny idea!
| queseraquesara chapter 49 . 3/21/2015
That was splendid! Unusual in style with all the little vignettes, but I enjoyed it immensely.

Makes sense. We're not told how Hogwarts is funded, but it seems quite likely that it is funded out of a combination of bequests and the income from lands and patents which it owns - and if it owns patents then there msut be research going on there.
There's a problem with the word "master". A master is a male teacher at a British school - that's why the Headmaster is called the Head-master, and why Snape calls himself "master of this school", meaning that he's a teacher employed by the school. A Potions master is just a male teacher who teaches Potions.
It's entirely possible that Snape also has an academic qualification in Potions, and there is a university degree called a Master's degree or just "a Masters", halfway between an Honours degree and a Doctorate. If Snape has one of those he'll be called a Master Potioneer or Master of Potions, separate from his being a Potions master, which is just his job description.
So he would say that alchemists had to have a Master's degree or Doctorate in three subjects.
