Really liked the realizations you wrote Darcy coming to on the carriage ride and again after his meeting with Locke. His deep seated anxiety feed his loyalty and desire to care for others while sometimes blinding him to the consequences of such actions. Cleverly written.

Considering Elizabeth came so close to losing so many people dear to her in one day, I am surprised she would treat her father so callously when he almost lost his life and was currently injured. Talk about ruthless. She didn't even want to see him to bring him tea. On one hand she wants Darcy and her father to make amends, and they do, but she is still holding a grudge with her father.

If Elizabeth still held Darcy's accountable for trusting Wickham, then she should understand her Father's position concerning Darcy and Wickham's relationship as well.

So Elizabeth assigns the most dangerous mission for herself? And alone?

Darcy had another opportunity to fall for Wickham lies, but did not back down. Darcy and Bennet eyes are open to Wickham's scheming and they are having none of it.
