This might possibly be the most intense chapter of fanfic I have ever read ever. Wow.

I really don't have words for how *much* I love this. Nor do I have words for how happy I was to see that this is just the end of part 1. Simply perfect.

Perfection. Every word was necessary. Where will the cycle of the acanthus take us: from retribution to death or to rebirth and life?

This is extremely well written. I love that you've taken canon and almost seamlessly interwoven this wonderful parallel in. I also love that you're giving each one of the characters an inherent humanity that is generally overlooked in the series. The characters are often tokens used to propel plot. Here, David, Ruby, Henry, Archie...everyone has these wonderful moments where they are truly present. Their reactions to this curse, Storybrooke, and the impending threat Cora presents make them fuller, better explored characters. Again, well done. I can't wait for you to continue! :o)

Beautiful story you have here. I just have a few things that I would like to say - hopefully them being constructive - but with Regina, I suppose I have always seen her as a stiff person, stiff in mind and in obvious posture, and her existence in Fairy Land, I think, would make her recoil a little from any of the language that we ourselves have created, the swear words and such, I'm not sure if I've ever seen Regina swear on the show, and it's such a small miniscule detail, but it's something I always appreciate seeing in any form of writing, effort of keeping the characters as close as possible to character. This is such a small part, that it's really not even worth mentioning, because let me just say that I also completely fell in love with the story and just how fantastic you have managed to write it, and it sounds like I didn't think you were writing them in character, but I do, because almost everything in this story is very canon and Emma is perfectly written, to the tee. It broke my heart finding out about her child life. I think Regina's reaction is very to her character, I think she would admire strength but ultimatley be torn up with guilt and other emotions, that sort of abuse coming a little too close to bone, and of course, I think she resents any abuse at all, she may even recoil from violence if she hadn't become so violent herself. Anyway, great story, I really do love it, and I hope to see more.

I really love this story, I'm secretly hoping it's extremly long in length. There are several lines in here that just sound so emotionally powerful. I like this Regina, who is still mature and stiff and unlikely to be easily forgiven, but still softening and giving, if only a little bit more. I always liked her friendship, or whatever you would call it, with Archie. And of course, Red and Belle, who didn't feel that on the show? Nice chapter, I really hope there is another one soon!
