Reviews for Memento Mori
ALC1 chapter 25 . 3/10/2015
Oh gracious...well, let me begin this review by saying how woefully inadequate I always feel when leaving a review. Perhaps it's only me- I've spent the past several hours binge-reading this story from Chapter 1-25 and I loved it. Now...how to convey my appreciation to you, the author?

Perhaps feelings?

I can tell you that I've felt sad, depressed, horrified, happy, worried, hopeful, angry, and about as many other emotions as you can possibly think of as I read this. I'm likely going to be a zombie-human at least until tomorrow. You can't read something quite this powerful all at once without being a little too affected by it, if you know what I mean. (That's a total compliment, however strange it sounded...lol)

To sum it up, I've been impressed. A story of this length is a massive undertaking, and I appreciate each and every chapter you wrote.

Many, many thanks to you, Raxacorico. Well done.

Can we dial down the feels? I'm in a restaurant and I'm about to sob.
Romana chapter 15 . 3/8/2015
Bit extreme... I don't believe Rose would do this. Electrocute, yes. Crowbar, no. And I don't like Jack showing up. They were getting out all by themselves quite nicely.
Ian Chesterton chapter 1 . 2/16/2015
You're an amazing writer and you're really keeping me from studying :-) Thank you for this story. Actually, it's long enough to be published as a book. Never thought of sending it to the BBC?
Winter Foxx chapter 25 . 1/11/2015
Such a well-written story. It was definitely something I thought about during the day when I wasn't reading it. It's rare that a story does that to me. I could actually feel their pain and torment.
Jackie chapter 25 . 1/2/2015
don't get me wrong this story is amazing and wonderful and you're very talented but i don't think i'll ever be okay again like what the fuck there's whump where it's like oh torture and then there's this and it's a whole other level of mind melting horror idk my brain isn't functioning rn

RavenWingDark chapter 4 . 12/8/2014
reading this story for the second time! 'cause its amazing
ASnowFern chapter 25 . 11/12/2014
I'll like to think that because Adam Mitchell changed the events that Doomsday never happened. That maybe because they knew about Torchwood that it went better. Maybe they got to contact Jack and changed events. That Torchwood One still went down but Rose did not get trapped in the parallel universe. After all, isn't that what fanfiction is about?

I really do liked reading this. I hate torture and any whump but I like the recovery period. I like how you portrayed the Doctor and Rose. You managed to get a good balance of strength and vulnerability. So yeah. Great job writing this! I can't wait to see what else you have got hidden away in your profile!

I don't know what to say...just brilliant, thank you :)
LBZIP chapter 25 . 10/1/2014
Brutal... tragic... but ultimately redemption, renewal and a very sweet ending. i really enjoyed the journey you took us on.
kinokocupcakes chapter 25 . 9/27/2014
This story is absolutely brilliant. I've been following it since you first started and it was well worth the wait. Definitely one of my faves. Thank you so much!
RosePond chapter 25 . 9/27/2014
I read this final chapter last night and had to take some time before I reviewed. This story has been so wonderful. I mean, the sort of topic you chose to tackle and the delicate and natural way you made the story progress... that takes talent and dedication. :) Again, all my love for Jack and the way you write him... I thought that bringing back of the Doctor's lost coat was just perfect! I was so happy to see true joy in the Doctor again that I very nearly actually cried. *sniff*

I just loved that they all lived a "normal life" at Jackie's for a while, and everyone is like family now (even the Doctor and Jackie!) The Christmas gifts were all just perfect (I laughed out loud at Jack's "gift" for Rose and the Doctor... and all the others were completely in-character too.) And the cast-taking-off scene was hilarious and yet heartfelt. I celebrated along with Rose and the Doctor that their limbs were finally healed! :D

The way you ended this epic of a story so sweet and in-character too (and I may have yelled "Finally!" at my computer screen... ;), and all the goodbyes just gave me a warm feeling inside. Lastly, I'm so glad that Rose decided to stay! I know everyone thinks that there's no way she or an author would choose to have Rose stop travelling with the Doctor, but you created a very physically real possibility in this story where I could actually believe that she could choose to just go back home again... and my heart was light with relief at the final lines which dispelled that fear. :) As so many others have said, "What a ride!" I'm so glad I read this fic and I really hope that you continue to write in the future! Xx

That was AMAZING!
I'm new to the doctor who fandom (I know, where have I been?), and your fanfic is definitely the BEST I've read in this fandom! It was an amazing ride, and I (as a big fan of whump and new-found doctor whump enthusiast) was really happy with all that torture (woooww, I'm a terrible person) and all the angst. I really don't know what else to say, they are in character and yet this story is so yours, you know? Great job, I'll definitely check out your profile now!
See you around! Thanks for sharing
R.
