I enjoyed your characterizations. I liked how Spock was kept so true to his movie counterparts, that his emotional attachment to Jim crept up on little cat feet during the course of your story. Many fanfics make Spock endure complete meltdowns just to acknowledge Jim is his friend. I'm so glad you didn't.

This entire oneshots collection is very very very amazing! I am truly surprised to find such awesome writing in fanfiction! I love this very much and read it all in one day.(I would have savored it more) I think you are an amazing writer and I love all the Kirk whump. I love the fact that Spock and Bones have major roles in most of them. I am excited to look at your other writings and I hope you don't stop writing star trek fanfiction any time soon. I would be very sad! it is hard to find stories like this. The amount of character development and the slow progression of each story makes me very happy! I am sad that you are not continuing this, but I understand.

I've completely fallen in love with your interpretation of the characters, and absolutely love your whumpy writing style! I literally grew up with this story. When I first stumbled across it, I was fifteen and on student exchange in China. It was only maybe five chapters long. It was a comfort to me, the bonds between the characters, and a wonderful distraction when I needed it. I have fond memories of being taken out of my situation for a while, whether it was a terrifying storm, bullying at my jobs (and later on at home, by a roommate). In one particularly dark situation, this pretty much saved my life!
Your portrayal of Jim and his past is certainly the most interesting, comprehensive, well written one I have ever seen. Certainly this story could be and should be cannon in the Star Trek Universe. Your version of Jim is what inspired me to keep pursuing my interests, as I have many of Jim's interests, with out all his trauma. Unfortunately, I am not as intelligent, but then who actually is? I guess there are some. You'd have to be close to genius to pull of writing it so well! I've always enjoyed your portrayal of Jim's intelligence. I could go on forever! But I'll end it here by saying: It's been one heck of a ride! And a wonderful seven years! From the bottom of my heart: Thank you.
