Reviews for The Last Slow Hours of Morning
go.so.slowly chapter 1 . 1/1/2009
This was incredible.

I read one of your fics a couple of years ago and was rediscovering my love for Buffy last week when I thought to revisit your fiction. I'm so glad I did!
Volpa chapter 1 . 3/25/2003
Oh, you are just so good. The feel of your stories is always perfect.
ginmar chapter 1 . 8/11/2002
Okay, that's it, you must quite your job and just write all the time. If anything is keeping your from writing full time, it's a crime. Damn. This is so perfect, it's actively painful, but in a good way. You know, have you quit your job yet? Okay, well, do it now. You just have to write full time, and that's all. How can you deprive us by not writing more?
Sabrina chapter 1 . 8/7/2002
Well, first of all, how brilliant are you that you know Neil Finn's "Into Temptation" is a perfect B/S song? I've thought so for years now (as are Fall At Your Feet, Instinct, etc. ad infinitum). Anyway, great story (even if we'll never get even a shadow of it on the real show).
Salla Toryebs chapter 1 . 7/31/2002
Lovely, lovely, lovely. This was so sad and angsty, yet so mellow and sweet as well. Your writing is absolutely extraordinary, and I am so glad you continued 98 Octane and Absinthe. This series has been, without a doubt, my favorite and most beliveable post-Grave series I've encountered. Thank you for writing it.

bubonicplague1348 chapter 1 . 7/30/2002
Absolutely lovely writing, and a very touching story. Great job.
petzipellepingo chapter 1 . 7/30/2002
God, how beautiful. It brought tears to my eyes. If only those nitwits at ME could write Season 7 that beautifully.
Special K chapter 1 . 7/30/2002
This is really really good- I soooo don't buy the whole "jumping straight into bed with your attempted rapist reasoning" that other fics use and yours makes this situation seem so much more realistic.
Jeanie65jh chapter 1 . 7/29/2002
I just love your stories. You write Spike & Buffy so well.

Ten Thousand was a gem and this follow up is awsome.

I think that no matter what happens come the start of season seven, I will always picture your story and Spike's true journey home from Africa.. It's forever etched in my mind as truth. Now if only this series; 98 Octane, Absynthe and The Last Slow Hours of Morning was their true reunion..

Tell you what, you keep writing and I'll just live in Wisteriaverse instead? ;) It's probably a better place to be. Thank you. (Lesson of Bliss is darn good too, but I'll just wait patiently for you on that one.
Eve McCarthy chapter 1 . 7/29/2002
Sorry, Eve isn't here right now. She has been replaced by a pile of jello. *g*

Glorious, bittersweet, wonderful, BEAUTIFUL conclusion to the trilogy. My brain resembles mush right now, so I can't really describe how much I loved this. The prose was delicious, the characters were so haltingly awkward and sweet, so full of need yet so full of hesitation.

Road tripping. *g* Nothing wrong with Spike and Buffy on a road trip. Always leads to epiphanies.

I have a new theory, that when (IF) Buffy tells Spike that she loves him next season, she will say it randomly, like in "Hours of Morning". I have read some other fics recently in which that occurs, and I think it is perfect. Although, I may have just jinxed myself. *frowns*

I am running out of adjectives, but I just want to congratulate you on writing this marvelous story of reconciliation and love.
Ozfan chapter 1 . 7/29/2002
Beautiful writing, beautiful everything, wisteria.
Lynn25 chapter 1 . 7/29/2002
Oh, Alanna! This was hearbreaking and beautiful and hopeful all at the same time. You have such a great understanding of these two characters, and you write so well. Wonderful.
fdsfdsafasd chapter 1 . 7/29/2002
Absolutely beautiful. The best post-grave fic I've read so far (but Ten Thousand was pretty good too...)
Maia J chapter 1 . 7/29/2002
Absolutely beautiful. Quite possibly the best Post-Grave fic I've read.
harmonyfb chapter 1 . 7/29/2002
Oh, Wisteria. Your writing is so lovely. I gain a great deal of enjoyment from reading your work.
