GalaxieGurl chapter 1 . 11/4/2017 I found this story years after you wrote it, and you might not even still be coming to FF to see this review, but I had to comment anyway. Parker-Booth father-son moments have always been some of my Bones favorites, both watching and reading, and this one is superb. Filled with the achingly deep love Booth feels for his son, and the proud, admiring 'want to live up to the standard you set' love that Parker has always had for his father. The fact that Booth was not his custodial parent never diluted Parker's realization that his father was THERE for him, a stalwart paladin who had his best interests at heart, though sometimes from a distance. You've hit all the high and low points of Booth's life in this fatherly talk. It conveys to Parker all the wisdom and love his dad holds for him. Not all might resonate with him at the moment, but Booth's words will be held in his mind and heart for future tough moments when they will provide silent support, just as Pops' teachings did for his grandson. You amplified many aspects of the show which needed fillin in...Hannah, for one. This is a wonderful story, soon added to my favorites! I wish you were still writing and posting here! |
delia cerrano chapter 1 . 12/25/2012 Awww! Real nice. I was hoping Bones & Booth would have more than one child. |
Biba79 chapter 1 . 12/25/2012 Awww, this was simply wonderful. I loved it. Booth's talk with Parker wasn't just for Parker's sake, it was also for Boot. I'm sure that Booth is very proud but at the same time worried as a parent. Parker will be fine. Loved it to pieces. Thanks for this! ;) |

razztaztic chapter 1 . 12/23/2012 Oh, man...I would have loved to see them telling Max that Brennan was pregnant. *sigh* Kids grow up on us way too fast. Life needs a rewind button. This was bittersweet and fun to read. Merry Christmas, Dharmamonkey and you! |
eitoph chapter 1 . 12/23/2012 This is such a gorgeous little father/son piece - I like both the insight it gives us into Booth, as well as into his relationship with Parker. It makes sense that he might follow in his father's footsteps and it was sweet to see Booth giving him some real, meaningful advice. Nicely done! |
threesquares chapter 1 . 12/23/2012 Really beautiful. I thought you got Booth's voice just right...the way he addressed Parker, the way he had to find his way through the story that he wanted to tell Parker. I loved the way you used moments from cannon and then some not. The time they told Max and Brennan had faith in him, in them. I kind of can't believe it, but I hadn't imagined Parker going into the army and what that would mean for Booth, both good and bad. Really insightful, lovely, and perfect for the season. Wonderful work. Michele |
SamBrace chapter 1 . 12/23/2012 Aww such a sweet story for Monkey I'm sure she loves it. I could really hear Booth's voice throughout this story |

Diko chapter 1 . 12/23/2012 Oh man I'm glad it was that kind of talk and not the ya know birds and the bees...lol Fabulous story full of heart felt emotion and there at the end you could see the past, present and future all in two sentences. Well done! |
