Hey I was wondering seeing as you stopped uploading for this story I was wondering if you would allow me to take it and continue it, please? Anyway this is/ was a really good story.

So... Zerg can incorporate life code from other creatures? You know that creature whose hair is used to make some of the normal invisibility cloaks: the Demiguise? I think it would be worth-while to obtain one of these creatures, or at-least whatever amount of genetic material is needed for the Zerg swarm to incorporate it's ability into the abilities of the swarm. There are many magical and mundane creatures that could be sampled for a more versatile selection of creatures for the swarm. What improvements could be made with the DNA of a dragon or a phoenix? Or a blast-ended screwt for that matter? Among the non-magical creatures are the far-seeing eyes of many birds, and the ultra-wide spectrum seeing eyes of the mantis-shrimp. (Not that I expect Harry to have ever heard of a mantis-shrimp.) And I haven't forgotten the acromantula either, which is at-least a little magic resistant. The swarm is probably better off leaving the unicorns alone though...

A neat story. I just finished re-reading what's available and it really is a shame this has been untouched for years now.

On that latter subject, it becomes a bit tedious seeing all the apologies for long hiatus, as well as the final protestation that the 'story isn't dead,' in light of this seemingly-permanent hiatus. I really think such statements should be avoided since, until any story is officially 'Complete,' there is really no guarantee it will ever be continued. Sorry to be so fatalistic, but I blame it on the disappointment of a really great story being allowed to languish like this.

The whole thing posted over just a 10-month period, despite those apologies, yet we're now approaching the 2-YEAR anniversary of the last posting, despite the closing 'story isn't dead' promise. If you really expect us to believe that promise, despite the obvious evidence to the contrary, then I've got some great swampland available in Florida that comes with pedestrian rights to the Golden Gate Bridge in California. ( Did I mention that, though it's available land, you can't actually use the it because some bloody tree-huggers came along and decided that the owners' property rights are less important than the 'public need' for undeveloped land to feed the local aquifer? Anywho, that's a whole different rant. ;-)

This is a really cool story concept. I really enjoyed it so far. I would love to see more of it one day! :)

Wow. The pacing is starting to hurt. Its a lot more harry potter than anything. At least his mind is getting stronger.

I see the more he uses his overmind abilities the stronger his own personal psionic skills become. I did note that his base was 40 and increased to 45 after that time in the larva. So the more he excercices the muscles of his mind/ magical core/psionic core the more he gains basically.

If I recall the Overmind should automatically have the full knowledge of all potential currently owned genetic codings that could be used. It doesn't mean he is aware of it or even knows that he knows just that he does have the knowledge since it is engraved in the Zerg substratum. Its cool so far I just personally find the inclusion of so many other people to be annoying. I guess what is really annoying is the main characters canonness. He refuses to go to the library himself. It would be useful if he simply used the power of being an overmind and basically a giant knowledge repository to open books and swiftly go through them gaining the infomration in a photographic format. Plus he could use christmas or summer to go and actually do research into genetics and different animal species of the earth's ecosystems including bug life and such to then improve his swarm further. He wil also need to at some point send swarm to take the moon and mine it for resources. Later mars would be a good source and venus has many gases and chemicals that could be very useful. Its a hot place but the swarm are nothing if not adaptive.

I just want harry to join his zerg properly. Why have them if you are going to be a weak fleshy. Like HK-47 says: Weak Meatbags.
