I read near halfway into this chapter then went bacl and read up a bit on your profile.

And as interesting as this story has the potential to be, we my author seem to have a disagreement into character personalities.

Bashing can get annoying, especially when over the top.

But Ron as a character is NOT cool beans. Hes a jealous little bastard with an inferiority complex whom actively takes his frustration out on his so called best friends.

Friends fight and argue sure. But friends do NOT abandon Ron does it constantly throughout the series.

Hermoine (and plenty other characters) has her flaws too, so dont think I'm just some Ron hating flamer. But Rons cons more often than not outweigh whatever good there could be.

HBP is one of my most hated books anyway, along with DH.

So characterization conflicts seem to be flaw I cant get over.

Huh, I'd have thought that one of the first things Harry would want to figure out was how the centaurs made their arrows explode on impact... Despite not being 'upgraded' much after assimilation, the centaur are pretty deadly ranged opponents and can easily fire explosive death over the heads of an advancing Zergling wave while the other specialized units cover their back, thus covering the Swarm's need for a good ranged unit. Plus while they aren't as sturdy as the Acrolisk (really, Acromantulisk sounds cooler, but I guess it's a bit long... and sounds like a cross between the Acromantula and Basilisk), they're faster than the Zerglings (or as fast, once the psionic speed boost is incorporated) so they can easily move together in hunting/patrolling packs.

You know... that actually makes me think of World of Warcraft and those annoying centaurs with their pet hyenas...

Anyway, the centaurs (and Zerglings) could probably benefit from a light Acromantula chitin carapace over vital areas (resistance to everything makes for pretty good armor, and it's light), and while it probably wouldn't look attractive it certainly would add a lot to their survivability. Since we're talking sharing traits from one species with the rest of the Zerg I should probably also mention that integrating Acromantula chitin into all their armor to make them resistant to magic and many physical attacks would be really good for the Zerg (the armored ones at least). And when the Basilisk hide comes into play...

I dunno about the Basilisk hide to be honest. Maybe an upgrade to the defenses of the 'buildings'? It's really too heavy-duty for most of the mobile 'infantry' units, but it could probably serve as a powerful defense for large and/or slow units/buildings. The Tubeworms could probably use it better than Acromantula chitin too.

The Overlords, on the other hand, might not work too well with either Basilisk hide or Acromantula chitin... maybe chitin over the vital exposed areas like the brain. On the other hand, if the web-spinning abilities of the Acromantulas are given to them, they could not only armor themselves with lightweight magic-resistant silk (and maybe empower the magical silk with notice-me-nots? Or impervious charms...) and they could fire silk webs/nets/ropes/missiles from the air, making them something like a versatile support unit.

Anyway, all this would make the canon Starcraft units deviate very greatly from their original designs, so if you're keeping the canon units and only adding some new units from HP verse then I guess my ideas won't really pan out. Pretty interesting story anyway.

Hi, just want to let you know that this his hands down one of the best StarCraft crossovers I've ever seen and an excellent story overall. You really do a great job of capturing the mentality and personality of your characters and how they affect each other. I saw in the author notes that you've gotten some complaints about how you present Zerg information, but I personally like it. I think it provides a clear and easily understood layout of all pertinent info on Zerg related things. I eagerly await the next chapter.
