| Carling chapter 34 . 1/28
Eurgh, I wish Draco hadn't had to do that spell. That was nasty. If I'd been Harry I'd have been just as disturbed by it, not that I care about Aubrey all that much, but I wouldn't want my friends and true love tainted by such a dark secret. But really, Aubrey was such a wicked piece of work and so unstable, yet so unfathomably sneaky and slippery, permanent incapacitation does indeed seem to be called for. We know that criminals have escaped from Azkaban before, and Aubrey is high risk given how he can freeze an entire room of aurors so easily.
That was funny how Harry used a comparison to Hermione in order to spur Draco on to take on wedding and career plans. They were very sweet together. I adore how you write romance. I hope all is well with your new baby. Best wishes!

I love the romance in this story. It's perfect for me. But where it falls apart, and here I agree with Atlantis51, is there is absolutely no logic in leaving Aubrey all trussed up and going home to have sex. Harry may be on disability leave, but he should technically still be an auror. I'd think his first priority would be to get his captive into custody. I mean clearly even though Draco was injured it couldn't have been that bad if he was having hot shower sex a few minutes later.
While Aubrey was bound Harry should have disarmed him completely and rendered him unconscious with a spell and taken him into custody. Draco could have held Aubrey at wandpoint as an extra precaution and Harry could have sent a Patronus for backup. It's crazy that this or something like it didn't happen. I understand if it was necessary for the plot to still leave him at large but then it would have made more sense to write in an escapade during the action, not this.
And if a civilian or any civilian is present while a trap is being set, that's further insanity. It would ruin the romance but really, if this were a real life scenario, it would make sense also to assign Harry an auror guard whenever he goes out of protective wards.

Why had Harry been wanting to make amends with Draco for years? Just because?
You're Ginny seems desperate.
| sumthin.clever.5 chapter 3 . 7/28/2013
You really are painting Ginny poorly. She's not this spoiled or needy. And even if they had broken up, why couldn't they have been friends?
