Seriously? Kagome spent a week in her time wallowing in her own self-pity while her friend was trapped in the Shikon no Tama? And the reason she went back wasn’t to get ther free but to apologize to Inu-Yasha? What have you done Kagome’s character? She would never put her own selfish love woes over her friend’s wellbeing. especially as she’s aware Kikyō is dead and she’s the only one who can purify the jewel. This is laughable.

Kagame going off on Kikyo about dragging Inuyasba to hell is both completely out of character and really bad timing. They’re standing in front of a massacre by Naraku and she’s worried about her jealousy? Her points aren’t wrong but not once did Kagame lash out at Kikyo in front of Inuyasha nor did she indicate that sort of vitriol. And then to do so in front of everyone while they’re focused on a horrible thing Naraku did is childish to the extreme. Not gonna lie, It makes Kikyo look a hell of a lot more mature and ready for a relationship and seems like Kagome needs to grow up a bit and get over her own selfishness first.

This was well paced and you got the emotions through very well. One thing I'd like to point out is to be careful of your word choices. Effeminate does not mean what I think you wanted it to mean. Similarly, 'faint' and 'feint', 'timbre' and 'timber' were used inappropriately. Overall, great job!

Also, I really appreciate that you stayed away from the whole graphic sex thing everyone seems to put in their stories.

I've been a closet Inuyasha fanfic freak well over a decade and this is the first one I've ever commented on. This was the cutest most satisfying story I've read. Seriously, so great. You really gave Kagome what she was lacking in the actual anime (dignity) and somehow still managed to capture and amplify the best parts of the Inu/Kag dynamic. Seeing as this was published 14ish years ago you'll probably never read this but I just had to at least try to give you props! GREAT JOB.
