I know that the years have changed him but to this extend?

Love it and yay for slashy yummyness. I must admit thinking of the 3 dying in the movie has been giving me panic attacks so I hope you are going keep them alive.

I usually steer clear of slash stories but I might need to reconsider that plan if there are stories as awesome as yours! I am NOT kidding AWESOME story! I love the flashbacks in the chapters. I'm really wondering how Bilbo is going to find the ring again, because he stumbled upon it in the book, but KEEP UPDATING and I'll find out. )

I cried whilst reading your story, I really did. Several times. Which is a bit embarassing to admit, but here it is.
I do hope that Bilbo will somehow manage to save them. Probably not all of them, but at least Fili and Kili. And Thorin. And Balin and Ori and...alright, I am definitely rooting for a happy ending. Shamelessly ;)

I like the way you portrayed Bifur in this chapter. Especially the description of his joy when Bilbo asks him to teach him the (hand?)signs he uses for conversation. Makes them seem really...lifelike? Real?
Well, you know what I mean.
It's a nice, gentle, quiet chapter - just before everything is going to go...pear-shaped.

Oh, this was nice. I really liked Fíli's POV, made me appreciate him more! I also really liked the part with Bifur! That was extremely pleasant. No one makes an effort with poor Bifur. You did. You rock!
