![]() ![]() enjoyed the chapter, up date soon, as soon as you can, how about tomorrow? :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() poor Bilbo all alone in this task to save the royal family. DX |
![]() ![]() ![]() This is absolutely amazing! I love the idea of time travel in hobbit fandom because this is exactly the story that ends with too many deaths, and therefore it is natural that someone would it changed ... Keep up the good work :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh, very nice conversation with Gandalf. Bilbo really became a rather wise person, in all his years, didn't he. Frankly, I rather like this young-body-old-mind-Bilbo. :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() I can't help it. My heart is breaking and I keep wondering, "Where is the rest?" I do hope you will update soon. Thank you so much for this chapter and take care! :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() oh, goodie! a new wonderful chapter! I really love your story, it's so different from the others! I like how you described Dwalins feelings towards Bilbo and had him protect his food, that bit really made me laugh. :) I'm really curious about hwo you plan to have Bilbo befriend Thorin without having to nearly kill himself in the process :) So, thanks for the chapter. I'll be anxiously looking forward to a new one :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() You updated yay! I love everything. Dwalin's reaction (" Never thought a hobbit could make me feel like a dwarf again"), Bombur's protectiveness ("Not until Mister Bilbo gets his portion"), Fili's deviousness ("Long lost friend or not, you did not come between a hobbit and his meal") etc. Hope to see the next installment soon! But I know each one of them is a lot of hard work, so take as much time as you need! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Well, my friend, you have me hooked. I always enjoy stories in which the entire Durin line is alive, and the whole 'Bilbo reliving it' just puts the icing on the cake! |
![]() ![]() ![]() OHHHHHHHH! THIS SOUNDS EPIC! I want it to continue! Please let it continue! XD XD XD I want to see what will happen if everything changes! This story will embark down an interesting path, and I'll be there every step of the way! |
![]() ![]() ![]() YES, YES, YES, AN UPDATE! PRAISE YOU! _ This chapter is so precious and adorable - and thank god, pretty much upbeat! Perfect bits of fluff and humor to follow up the strain of having my heart ripped out and stomped on before. I don't have to stop myself from reading every few paragraphs to stop feeling like there's a golf ball in my throat and burning eyes, haha (man, those last two chapters!). I am glad you didn't dwell on that, as I'm not sure I can handle so much depressing thoughts in one go. I LOVE that you gave us Dwalin's perspective on Bilbo; I have to confess I'm intensely interested in how the company views Bilbo at this point, so it was nice to have that glimpse. Especially since Bilbo was thinking of befriending the gruff Dwalin (likely not realizing he would so quickly make such a favorable impression) after the trolls (my guess!). I love that concluding line about feeling like a dwarf, and that even Dwalin feels and notices Bilbo's high regard for them all. Between his pithy wit and magnanimous nature, Bilbo is slowly charming every dwarf without knowing it, by treating them as if they are all friends/family (yes!). Bombur and him discussing herbs and Bombur assuring he got the first bowl? I was surprised at how adamant and protective he got - and that Bilbo thinks it's just because he's a hobbit. (Awww, Bombur sounds like such a sweetie in this fic! not surprising given his relation to Bofur!) "Don't even try those eyes on me. I lived among baby hobbits. Come near me again and I'll crack your fingers," he warned, waving his spoon to get his point across. THIS is so cute! Especially because it makes me think of baby hobbits. Oh my gosh, baby hobbits! Baby Frodo? Baby Pippin and Merry and Sam? *squeals* But really, I was grinning like a madwoman; I bet Kili wasn't expecting to get put down that fast. Old Bilbo is wise to your act! Man, between his youthful revitalization and old experience/wisdom, Bilbo is all set to handle all of the groups personalities, I think - or maybe feel something like an elf, being a weird paradox of old and young. I think you've done a good job with Bilbo being diplomatic and, well, almost fatherly in how he is fostering their egos and personalities. I can see the company bonding and blossoming under his attention and it is very touching and thrilling - The small changes seem that much more important. I'm also eager to see where he missteps at some point, as it seems to be inevitable (one step forward two steps back - things are going too smoothly, but then they've only just begun as well!). And Gandalf trusting Bilbo to his secret - temporarily, but Gandalf is a patient man - and then his final assurance serving doubly as a reply to his spoken AND thought words? Masterful way to end the chapter! I do wonder whether Gandalf can glean Bilbo's thoughts? I forget the extent of his telepathic abilities... Probably limited, but that might explain why he was so quick to realize the truth of his words and innocence of his intent. Or you know, he just did a gut check. :P I wonder whether he was given any indications of Bilbo's unusual journey? (which makes me wonder what role eru or the valar have in its happening in the first place, if any) Aaaaaaand with that, I'm going to read this story all over again for what has to be the fifth time now, thanks! :D I *am* starting to get a mite worried over how addicted I am to it though, since I've been going through withdrawal periods and checking feverishly for updates lol! I made an ungodly noise when I saw a new chapter. |
![]() ![]() MORE! *-* Please? |
![]() ![]() ![]() Thank you so much for the update! I absolutely love your story so far and look forward to the next chapter. :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() Yippe... another update. I liked Balin's thoughts about Bilbo's observations about the dwarves. Good work. I am so curious how this will continue. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh, thank you so much for updating, the story is amazing... I just LOVE the way you described Dwalin and his thoughts on Bilbo! "Never thought a hobbit could make me feel like a dwarf again." - that's gorgeous)) And I really hope that it will work, I mean what Bilbo is planning to do to save his unknowing friends, I really hope it will work. Thanks again! Keep writing! And good luck with the story in what follows! |
