Although for now, it looked pretty good - I hate it when all of a sudden, the characters are in love. This looks like a nice, slow developing romance with action. Me likey! |

| WhiteFang72 chapter 3 . 1/14/2013 Oh man, when I first found this story and saw the number of reviews, I was hoping for a story with around thirty chapters. Now I know I'll have to wait to read more and I am not happy. Seriously, this story is amazing! I love time-travel stories in general, but you are an excellent writer and capture the tension, drama, and light-heartedness of these scenes so well. Bilbo's grief at his friends' deaths feels so real. His resolve to change things is just so him. I can't wait to see Gandalf's growing suspicion and I also can't wait to see what Bilbo plans to do with the ring. I'm glad not everything is going to go to plan (how boring would that be), but I'm hoping for a somewhat happy ending too. I don't think Bilbo is OOC or a Mary-Sue at all, he seems like an older himself. Which is exactly what he is. Anyway, I'm loving this story so you have to update regularly. Please? :D |

| Mish chapter 3 . 1/14/2013 Wow... just, wow. I usually like stories that have the main character reliving his life from a certain point, but for some reason I hadn't thought of the possibility of someone writing this plot for The Hobbit. I'm very glad I was wrong, and I'm already hooked. I love Bilbo's perspective, his protectiveness towards the dwarves and how he's trying to subtly change things already. I love how everything is from his point of view (though not in first person, which I find very hard to like), and yet we still learn things about each dwarf due to his past life. The characteristics of the dwarves is very spot on as well, and I love all of them already. Thorin's deep voice always resonates, and I like how you've portrayed his obvious authority in the group, though he doesn't lord it over everyone. |
