![]() ![]() ![]() Love this! Got all sappy just reading about Fili & Kili. Poor Bilbo! And nice of him to stick up for Bombur - though I thought Dori was the one who saved Bilbo's butt the most in the books (or was that Nori? I have terrible memory), so he can't be all that bad either. P: I really like how fond Bilbo is of the dwarves, such an "awwwww" moment when he is watching them. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Please continue! I fell in love with your story! Can't wait to see more! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Yay! This is the first time-travel fic I've found and I can't wait to see how it ends. |
![]() ![]() You had me sobbing at that little excerpt of fíli and Kíli. Otherwise it was all perfect |
![]() ![]() ![]() AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I KNEW YOU WERE GONNA LEAVE IT OFF THERE. I don't know why this story affects me so, but its just so good. THATS HOW I LIKE 'EM. Hehe. Ok. I'll be waiting for that update. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Your story is amazing! |
![]() ![]() ![]() This is so good! I 'm one of those person who love time travel twists, and having such a tear wrenching story be made into something even better, with hope in the end, it's just great 3 Please do write more! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for sharing such a lovely story! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Awesome chapter. I love how Bilbo is confusing Gandalf. I can't wait to read more, and see what else will be different this time around. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I loved this. Bilbo's thoughts and nostalgia teared me up a little; this was both heartbreaking and beautiful, and I will be anxiously waiting for more. |
![]() ![]() ![]() oooh, I like this! I like that Bilbo has a chance to change the course of fate, that he wants to do it and that he struggles with the huge responsibility that's been laid on him. I'm a bit sorry that Thorin came so soon and that we didn't get the "Blunt the knives" song. I like it :) As I said I really like the idea of Bilbo being able to do everything over again, I have only one little concern and that is that he will lose his Bilbo-ness and become this Mary Suish, brave version of himself that's not afraid of anything or anyone... I get that that's sort of the point, changing everything, that he was a much different hobbit at the end of his life than he was in his 50s... I just have this strange irrational fear that he'll lose his Baggins side :) Never mind me, though... :) Nevertheless, I shall wait with baited breath for your next chapter, I really enjoyed this one... |
![]() ![]() ![]() awesome, please update soon, cant wait to read more! |
![]() ![]() Love it! I'm excited to read more. |
![]() ![]() ![]() absolutely loving it. point of interest if you haven't already read it, in the appendices of 'the lord of the rings' theres some dwarven history labeled as 'Durins Folk' on pg.434 (book with the black cover), Thorin is in there (pg.443) telling how the quest for erebor started. and in the 'Unfinished Tales' on pg.415 (again the copy with the black cover) there's detailed information on the quest including Thorin's impression of Bilbo. If you haven't read this section of the 'Unfinished Tales' yet, I RECOMMEND YOU DO!. the book costs like $12 or something sof you don't want to buy it, the library might have it. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wow - I love the premise, I love the dialogue, I love the little changes that are happening so far... I especially love that the rest of the company are still in character! That Gandalf has noticed that the reactions aren't what they should be, that the other dwarfs react with suspicion first... and I'm curious to see what new perils the group will face because of all these little (and, eventually, not so little) changes. Please keep writing - I'm eagerly looking forward to your next post! |
