Reading this for the first time and I love it so far.

I can't say I like this story, a lot of sex sences, but everything else just kept going around in circle. How they love each other but can't live together and how Jack refused to give up hope that one day Ennis will take a chance and go for that sweet life. But Ennis is too stubborn and too much of coward to give in. That's it not a whole lot different to the movie just more in detail. But still no happy ending.
I have to say, with Jack's death, Ennis has blood on his hands.

The problem with these two, too much sex and not enough action. If you know what I mean. Stop thinking and just do it, say it. Take a damn chance! Geee, you think they will wise up to it after all the pain of saying goodbye after each trip over the years!

Oh say it already Ennis. As lovely and sweet these trips are, even I am getting impatient with this we can't be together because it's not safe excuse. You are wasting your life living a lie.

I just moved house and it took a while for the internet to come, that's why I haven't left a review in a while.

I thought it was really sad when Jack got killed in the movie.

That's soo tragic... Finally, Ennis's ready and then... :( But at least Jack told Ennis that he loves him and Ennis kind of did too. :)
I'm looking forward to reading the LIL sequel. :)

"There, done," Ennis told him as he came back over and resumed his seat. "Now are you gonna kiss me?" - That was adorable. :D And I loved that last line... Huh.

"You know I...care about you," he managed to say, and Jack's eyes flew open. - Awww, that was cute... :)
